You know of Gil Scott Heron? Ha you're like the first person ever. His daughter Gia was like one of my best friends growing up. She was REALLY REALLY pretty even as a kid. Like stunning. Last I heard she was doing poetry slams. I miss that crazy bitch, I should look her up! Sorry that was random.

I like many artists and songs, but these are some that always work for me:)

Annie Lennox
Dido

cello! I absolutely love cello. Not just classical either, baroque pop or acoustic with cello background bowing.

not necessarily in order:

1. Dave Matthews Band-(esp Spoon, you should give it a listen. It's less common and full of complex pensive-type people lyrics)
2. Andrew Bird
3. Norah Jones
4. Aberfeldy (can be a bit corny, but I love their whimsical style nonetheless)
5. Kings of Convenience---very very chillout. It's very musical music. Shamefully I have to use that adjective--but frankly a lot of music today isn't very musical.
6. Ingrid Michaelson--her piano melodies are pretty simple but she has a lovely voice and a nice style
7. The Bird and the Bee--has licks of 60s baroque jazz. it's really cool.

Others I like a lot but aren't my absolute faves: Arctic Monkeys, Spoon, the Strokes, Beck, Gorillaz, Feist (who may be infj??)

I never thought I'd have a favorite band, but Slowdive is probably at the top of my list.

In no particular order (other than alphabetical), a handful of bands/artists I love:
Bear vs. Shark - truth be told, I don't listen to these guys that often. Their obvious passion for what they did is why they're on my list.
Boards of Canada
Brand New
Circa Survive - I'm going to go see them in March, and apparently my sister has already set it up so where we can meet the band before the show. She's making them cookies. :x
Cocteau Twins
Cynic (mainly their first album, Focus)
The Daysleepers - they're still young as a band, but I like everything they've put out so far
Death
My Bloody Valentine
Tiesto

I love music, and I already feel vulnerable enough putting this up here. If anyone I know saw this list they'd probably know who I am almost immediately.

Who are your favorite bands and/or artists?

I'm not really into bands, so I'll just put down some of the groups I'm into at the current moment.
Celtic Woman
Paddy Reilly and the Dubliners
Boston Camerata

Okay, so I'm old...old and weird.
