thanks! i found it randomly on google image search and had the same experience. it was painted by someone called mary dipnall. to me it looks like some sort of nostalgic style of more recent decades of the 20th century, but also kind of "knowing" about its nostalgia, i can't describe it. the poppies and the sunset and the daisies make me think of cycles of death/rebirth. i like your avatar too!

It was traumatic at the time, but the wounds left by their deaths have mostly healed. It would have been so much worse if I'd been a child at the time, but I was a middle-aged woman with the means to work things out.
