Movies or Scenes That Made You Cry.

Last movie I cried at was "Star Trek" (yeeees, Star Trek - specifically the opening scene).

OMG, Arby. You too? I went to see that with my friends and I felt silly tearing up before the movie even started. Especially since I practically never cry at movies.

I cried during two Hindi movies (not too many people here understand Hindi, but I'll post them anyway...)
- Pyaasa (Thirsty)
- Kaagaz ke Phool (Paper Flowers)

Both are directed by Guru Dutt, probably the best film director/actor in Indian history. Pyaasa is more of a social commentary (though it does have a love story in it); Kaagaz ke Phool is love poetry (the second half of the movie, especially). Kaagaz ke Phool ended up flopping when initially released in India in 1959; it became a major success in France in the 1970s when released there...though Guru Dutt had committed suicide in 1964...Though I haven't watched any of Orson Welles' films, but he's the person Guru Dutt is often compared to.

Here's a famous song (with it's immortal cinematography) from Kaagaz ke Phool:

The translation of the lyrics:

I don't know if the song will make too much sense outside context, but I heard it before watching the movie, and it was extremely powerful back then as well.

I just saw "Hachi: A Dog's Tale" on Hulu, and cried 75% of the time.

Man...they really don't make movies like that anymore.

hmmmmm.... a lot of films have made me cry before xD actually, I think the majority have.
One film that got to me, was the very end of "The Notebook". I used to cry absolutely buckets over that film..
Alas, I don't watch movies much anymore.

Certain parts of shindlers list. and the ending of to kill a mocking bird.

Once were Warriors

Movie always gives me Goosebumps

I remember balling my eyes out while watching, but then again I have always found the moari culture depressing, growing up in it.

Ive always been proud of my people. No more Depressing then any other bad shit that happens in peoples lives

I cried at The Last Airbender, but that was more or less from my personal horror and disappointment :m169:

I try to hold it in but it was very difficult with Marley and Me, Up and PAY IT FORWARD. Reign Over Me was really sad (yes, I cried at an adam sandler movie). I also cried at anchorman because I was laughing so damn hard.

The execution scene in Dead Man Walking never ever fails to make me cry, no matter how many times I've seen it.

there are more that I'm not thinking of right now.

I cry at movies all the time. Too many to list. Someone can win a soccer game in a movie and if it's heartfelt enough, i'll burst into happytears lol.

But one movie that actually had me hysterically uncontrollably bawling in the movie theater was The Kingdom. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0431197/
It's about the turmoil between the US and the Middle East and so much hatred is painted between both sides. Something about that and how it's symbolic of real hatred and crisis that's going on our world every day (and how deep that hatred runs) just broke me. As easy as it is for me to cry at films, I've never in my life cried that hard at a movie.

Well, I think "Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey" is a mediocre movie, but one scene in there kills me. The scene where the oldest boy thinks his dog didn't make it, then the dog comes up over the hill, omg.

Jackie's funeral speech in the movie "Waking Ned Devine".

I lose it every time I watch "E.T" when I see him all lying in the river all sickly, and of course when he leaves on the ship.

I only cry if I'm alone, I just can't bring myself to do it when others are around. The Fountain, P.S. I love You, Sunshine - just to name a few.

lost count. probably the most being the lion king, watched it a thousand times when I was a kid.

But Sunshine wasn't sad. More depressing than anything. Leave it to Danny Boyle to make a happy ending and still leave me feeling depressed.

I should first say I am very composed most of the time in my day to day so when it comes to watching movies I tend to cry at everything. That being said here are some movies that make me cry every time I watch them.

I love the entire story line between these two...especially the ending
