Let's Psychoanalyse your Avatar [2]

lol. Makes me want to rethink what I put up as my avatar.

a) I'm not a goth nor do I sheep with any other alternative subculture, b) I don't gamble, c) I'm far from reckless, d) my parents are happily married, e) I'm perfectly assertive and suffer from the learned ability to kick people's asses and f) the only recreational drug I've been tweaking on as of late is my own excess of dopamine.

(Although between you and I, I wouldn't mind taking flight on the discount greenery airlines... so that's 0.5 /6)

Thanks for taking the time, though :)

With this avatar, I see an expression of "I don't care what anyone thinks!"

NiennaLadyOfTears, I don't see anything from your avatar, save a few key feelings.

Pureness. Freedom. Security. Wisdom. Love. Heart.

Those just spring out at me.

do me do me. no hetero.

@Anita:
This is a nice avatar. The first thing I notice about it is the neutral colors, and how the figure seems to blend into the background somewhat, even with the outer ring framing him and bringing him forth as the focus of attention. It seems to be a serious portrait, but the way his hat is tilted to the left and the casual way in which he's touching his chin makes me think he's not taking it entirely seriously. His gaze makes me believe he's thinking about something entirely different, and is slightly amused by his observations. From the style of clothing of the character I'd guess he's a historical figure from perhaps 17th century England, and the shapes in the background appear to be the sails of ships, which might indicate that this man was a captain, and more generally that he was defined by this profession.
I find it interesting you chose this avatar Anita because I think it shows that you feel more connected perhaps to a different era, to different settings. He seems calm and collected, and entirely professional, yet relaxed. He seems to have the kind of ease one gains through years of experience and patient persistence.

I see someone who's broken, who's gone through a lot of stress, yet has managed to hold themselves together and keep their inner and outer beauty. Though, they have a partially tainted being, there still remains parts of their purity, and they work to hold on to them.

However, as much as they try, they can't completely hold themself together alone, sometimes all it takes is some encouragement to make them stand tall.

Would anyone like to do this one?
Thanks :)

I can't help but think that you are attempting a Hip Hop move! lol
Not the best analysis I know. :p

:D That's okay. I won't pretend that's how I'd look attempting it lol, but it's fun to watch!

Firstly, I'd like to thank you for taking the time to express your thoughts and offer your analysis on my avatar. I really appreciate it.

Secondly, there is a lot that you've got that was spot-on. The fascination with the macabre, eh, not so much. I'm actually a pretty sunny personality and don't take myself too seriously-- but I am fascinated by the dichotomy of the high-risk vs. high class aspect communicated by this card-player motif.

I love the attention to detail. I deliberately chose the image because she wasn't smoking (detestable habit, cigarettes... at least to me) but I hadn't actually noticed the post-it note until you pointed it out.

The penchant and the finesse in the analysis, the detail, the verbosity... I didn't have to sneak a look at your profile to declare you a fellow English major. ;)

Thanks again!
Hey, any time. Thanks for reading it.

Well, I have an extremely sunny personality, but I think that makes me MORE fascinated in "the macabre," to be honest with you. It's intriguing.

I agree. I grew up around too many smokers to get into it myself. The expense and outcomes are so not worth it. The post-its, though, amused me greatly -- not only because I could not decide if they were real post-its (the atmosphere made me doubt), but also because of how subtle yet conflicting they are.

Haha, we English majors, huh? ;) Overdoing it since the 1400s.

I don't know so much about rip it apart, but I'll give it a go. I'm basing this solely off your avatar (who she seems to be, what she might do, etc), so we'll see how accurate it is.

Odyne, you pretend to be serious, but you're quite playful. You love to have people enthralled with you, but you'll always play hard to catch. You don't take your followers too seriously, being already quite confident and happy with yourself. Yet even that is a mask. Someday you hope you'll find a soul that's a match for yours. So you keep playing the game and hope a real winner turns up.

Alrighty. You joined during my hiatus, so this is completely based off your avatar. Here goes.

SouloftheLaurel, your avatar seems to be walking alone in a dream. The soft light and the pastel colors, I think, are what lead me to this. This suggests a lot of reflecting and/or searching on your part. The searching/reflecting theme is reinforced by you posting +1700 times in ~4 months on an INFJ forum. (Okay, so I'm using some stats too.) Your avatar also seems to be mute or very silent - in the dream, at least (mouth closed in a very relaxed position, eyes bright and looking, but somewhat unexpressive). This leads me to believe you're very contemplative. Your custom text is "My Heart's a Battleground" which further suggests you've been through a lot. Couple that with the aloneness of your avatar and your location "Treehouse in the sky" suggests that your past carries pain, which you've now distanced yourself from (or are attempting to). Having been hurt in the past, you're now contemplative and searching. This suggests a purpose. Maybe your purpose is simply to find purpose, or to seek restoration from being wounded, but purpose you have. What is your purpose? Where are you going? These are questions that I cannot yet answer.

Would anyone like to give mine a try?

mf You like having a cigarette in your mouth and raising your hand. You also like being almost bald.
This is probably the deepest analyze you'll ever get :)

Can someone do mine too :p

Royal, you look like you just knocked off a casino for about $11 million bucks. Now you're looking for something more awesome to be a part of. May I suggest world domination?

Milon. Since you're on a roll, mind psyching my avatar? :D

One thing I always notice about Anita 's avatars is that they are of a still scene. From this I gather that Anita is contemplative and prefers things at her own pace... She likes to take in all the details and meditate on them. Also, that you see yourself as remote.

Analyze mine??
Anyone?

@bananaphone
Your perspective is divergent. There are SO MANY details here to focus on, information coming from everywhere and despite the pair sitting in the centre, there is no central focus to the image. Because of this, nothing is really grabbing for attention although in a sense everything is at once. Still, there's no sense of rush to the photo and with colours that are very subdued and not flashy, this offers a very comfortable, settled atmosphere/feel. The 'therapy image' of these two characters supports the sense of comfort within the image, and suggests that there is more to the image than we see/know. There is a whole other reality implied that is not present to us, making it clear to us that we really don't know what is going on and are only perceiving from a very superficial (exterior but not necessarily shallow) point. We're outsiders to this.
The suggestion of a conversation between bear and human implies a comfort, liking for, or leaning to the whimsical and/or the world of possibility. The mixing of the two worlds is obvious. It looks as though you're sitting inside having a conversation yet the tree, birds, and foliage in the background suggest that this is an outside setting. What's more, the framed pictures which are normally found inside are instead outside, which stirs one's curiosity: what is this photo really about? What's really going on? I find myself not quite knowing what I'm looking at. If anything, it denies a typical reality and what we're used to and what's interesting about this image is that it seems so very comfortable in itself (if an image could be). If we didn't know otherwise, we'd think this was what was.
