Not sure that applies all the time though. It seems at some moments it's exactly the opposite - some strong resentment towards physical touch. I guess it depends on the current mood and situation.

Agreed.

The times I want hugs happen so spontaneously and then the feeling subsides and go back to my cold and "stay away from me" mode.
