I'm not into dominance or submission, but I love that those types exist and can be happy together.

I don't think there's any one film in particular but some of the misanthropy in There Will Be Blood resonates with me.

And I don't like sports analogies but this scene from Any Given Sunday sums up much of my approach to life:

I remember watching this film when I was a kid called John Hus, it was a bibliography based on the true story on John Hus who was a Czech priest, philosopher and theologist. He was one of the key influences of the reformed church and was burnt at the stake for his works. The film pretty much reflects my core values, belief system and current mindset.

I kinda agree with Little Miss Sunshine... It totally shows an aspect of my life and therefore my personality, but only in a way my values. Other than that, I can't really think of a movie that truly shows my value system. Hmm... Maybe I just haven't seen enough films.

Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou.

Everything there just clicks with me, including the persona of the main character. His relationships with people. I am not similar at all to him but I respect and admire such people, even though they are kind of assholes. I guess the kind of people I would rather be surrounded by? It is a comedy but it is not, it's very tragic. Just like life in a way.. Maybe subconsciously I like the movie because of my childhood love of Jacques-Yves Cousteau or my desire for traveling but not being an average tourist, a desire to do something unique and strong in life. . Maybe because I secretly want to be an extravert? I don't know, it's just a special movie.

LOVE Little miss Sunshine! :m200:
