And as an addendum:

Actually, I was sure of myself, sure about everything, far surer than he; sure of my present life and of the death that was coming. That, no doubt, was all I had; but at least that certainty was something I could get my teeth into—just as it had got its teeth into me. I’d been right, I was still right, I was always right. I’d passed my life in a certain way, and I might have passed it in a different way, if I’d felt like it. I’d acted thus, and I hadn’t acted otherwise; I hadn’t done x, whereas I had done y or z. And what did that mean? That, all the time, I’d been waiting for this present moment, for that dawn, tomorrow’s or another day’s, which was to justify me. Nothing, nothing had the least importance and I knew quite well why.

I wanted to answer this seriously but I have a hard time coming up with an actual answer I think this is mainly due to my relatively young age and inexperience. And also because I don't watch many movies.

Sorry. This cannot be done. I speak for myself.

I'm with Kiu for the most part becaue it couldn't possibly be only 1 film.

I don't care for the representational aspect of films, so even a film revolving around a belief system I don't adhere to and values I don't share could be one I relate to very intimately at the essence.

there are no / I have too many examples to cite.

That reminds me so much of David Byrne's and Brian Eno's earlier collaborations in "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts"...... :) (ie. "America is Waiting", "Help Me Somebody, " etc)
