Yes, you do have to register to take any of the tests on this site, but they are well worth the extra two minutes of work.

Check out AuthenticHappiness and after signing up, select the VIA Signature Strength survey from the front page blue panel. As always, answer as honestly as you can, and then post your results.

Here are my top five strengths. Feel free to post all 24 in order if you wish.

EDIT: Yeah, it's a little long. Make yourself a cup of coffee and sit down. It should take you about 15 - 20 minutes.

    Top 5:

    Your Top Strength

You are a careful person, and your choices are consistently prudent ones. You do not say or do things that you might later regret.

    Your Second Strength
    Forgiveness and mercy

You forgive those who have done you wrong. You always give people a second chance. Your guiding principle is mercy and not revenge.

    Your Third Strength
    Judgment, critical thinking, and open-mindedness

Thinking things through and examining them from all sides are important aspects of who you are. You do not jump to conclusions, and you rely only on solid evidence to make your decisions. You are able to change your mind.

    Your Fourth Strength
Spirituality, sense of purpose, and faith
You have strong and coherent beliefs about the higher purpose and meaning of the universe. You know where you fit in the larger scheme. Your beliefs shape your actions and are a source of comfort to you.

    Your Fifth Strength
    Love of learning

You love learning new things, whether in a class or on your own. You have always loved school, reading, and museums-anywhere and everywhere there is an opportunity to learn.

Bottom 5: (so pretty much the reverse of this)

    Strength#20

You like to laugh and tease. Bringing smiles to other people is important to you. You try to see the light side of all situations.

    Strength#21
    Kindness and generosity

    Strength#22

Regardless of what you do, you approach it with excitement and energy. You never do anything halfway or halfheartedly. For you, life is an adventure.

    Strength#23
    Modesty and humility

You do not seek the spotlight, preferring to let your accomplishments speak for themselves. You do not regard yourself as special, and others recognize and value your modesty.

    Strength#24
    Citizenship, teamwork, and loyalty

You excel as a member of a group. You are a loyal and dedicated teammate, you always do your share, and you work hard for the success of your group.

    --

Seems pretty accurate to me. I despite the fact that humility is at the bottom, I am not a jerk about those things, I keep that tightly under wraps. Also kindness is misleading, I do help others. However, I have learned over the years to put myself first, and not be the martyr.

    Your Second Strength

    Your Third Strength
    Appreciation of beauty and excellence

You notice and appreciate beauty, excellence, and/or skilled performance in all domains of life, from nature to art to mathematics to science to everyday experience.

    Your Fourth Strength
    Judgment, critical thinking, and open-mindedness
Thinking things through and examining them from all sides are important aspects of who you are. You do not jump to conclusions, and you rely only on solid evidence to make your decisions. You are able to change your mind.

    Your Fifth Strength
    Fairness, equity, and justice

Treating all people fairly is one of your abiding principles. You do not let your personal feelings bias your decisions about other people. You give everyone a chance.

    Bottom 5:

    Humor and playfulness
You like to laugh and tease. Bringing smiles to other people is important to you. You try to see the light side of all situations.
    ******

I agree with most of that. I thought honesty would be in the top 5 though. I have the capacity to love, I just don't know what it feels like to be loved. Creativity is considered to be how many ways you can do something. Seems silly to me. Find the best way first- then do it with complete commitment!

This is actually crazy accurate. I would say those are my top five qualities and my five worst qualities. I'd monkey around with the order of the top five, but still seems about right. Awesome.

Thats was interesting. I don't think I learned anything too new about myself but that's because I know myself really well already. In fact for me this list sort of feels meaningless . . . idk. it did get me thinking tho about things, especially the one about would you love your family no matter what because me and my family have been through some very trying times. In the end I said Very much like me. :)
for my authentichappiness score I got 2.25 out of 5. Lol. gotta work on that.

    Caution, prudence, and discretion
You are a careful person, and your choices are consistently prudent ones. You do not say or do things that you might later regret.

    Gratitude
You are aware of the good things that happen to you, and you never take them for granted. Your friends and family members know that you are a grateful person because you always take the time to express your thanks.

    Weaknesses:

    Lack of Bravery and valor
You are not a courageous person, and tend to shrink from threat, challenge, difficulty, or pain. You do not speak up for what is right if there is opposition. You never act on your convictions.

Lack of Creativity, ingenuity, and originality
Thinking of new ways to do things is not a crucial part of who you are. You are always content with doing something the conventional way even if a better way is possible.

No Appreciation of beauty and excellence
You do not notice and appreciate beauty, excellence, and/or skilled performance in most domains of life, from nature to art to mathematics to science to everyday experience.

    No Zest, enthusiasm, and energy
Regardless of what you do, you never approach it with excitement and energy. You do everything halfway or halfheartedly. For you, life is not an adventure.

    Lack of
    Honesty, authenticity, and genuineness
You are a dishonest person, not only by speaking lies, but by refusing to live your life in a genuine and authentic way. You have your head in the clouds and live with pretense; you are not a "real" person.
