The bars are only the surface of it. Some people felt disrespected by aspects of the poll and of how the reset took place. I think the staff didn't realize (or didn't have the patience left) to deal with a backlash after the event. I see it as a tired parent finally appeasing one sibling, and then having no patience left for the other sibling who inevitably complains about it. I think that it would have blown over a bit quicker if some people were just allowed to vent and get it out of their system.

Well, you're probably pretty much caught up on it by now. The whole rep thing got blown into....this. Pretty much every thread that had to do with it was locked. Nobody (self included) seems to have had any idea how many issues this would bring up.
