  • My flannel will never be burned, and my hat will keep continue to keep my mop from getting away from me! Finals went pretty good. I have a week off until summer classes start.

You need some hugs, so TAKE THESE *tackle hug*

Do those letters mean anything? I think I read where someone said "On the Macro Level" all is well. That would be me.
I am glad that some of these schools remained open, because otherwise most of that history would be forgotten, even if it is largely ignored today. Not only that, but now they're much more beneficial in preserving tribal culture.
Yes, that's practically verbatim for Serrano as well. They have a graveyard too. There was a period where the place didn't even have running water, and early on, many of the students died from epidemic disease.
Ah, cool! I took a class in Native American boarding schools that was taught at Serrano Indian HS, which itself is a Native boarding institution that was founded by the government back when they were meant to function more or less as concentration camps. It's amazing how much the typical US history class glosses over with regard to tribal populations.
Yeah, boredom is definitely a factor for me. I look forward to becoming too busy to be on here all damn day like I have been lately. I must say, I'm kind of drawn to the drama, but not for drama's sake. Rather, I want to be able to make sense of it all, and try to shed some light on certain issues, or the perspectives of some of my fellow members, without alluding to the concepts of right and wrong.
Thanks! Well, probably a Native Americans in Film and TV class offered in San Diego. It will, in effect, require me to take a vacation! You came back quick btw! Whenever you announce impending departure, I'm always thinking "Aw, she's gonna be gone for weeks!"
No! I will! I've been distracted for a good reason for once. I've been conditionally accepted to grad school, at last!!! I just have to get a Native Am studies prerec out of the way before the semester starts in august. I was thinking about the blog today though. It will be finished!
Hah, thanks. I knew I'd end up lagging behind with the new system as i don't post very often. Ah well, i only used my lightsabre for chopping parsley anyway
Thank you :) I do kind of feel that I am falling behind lol. Logging in and seeing reps warms the cockles of my heart ^^

Yeah, one miniute I was gazing at the ceiling into nothingness, another, it was 7:22 and I was being called down for dinner.

    Sleep is for the weaaaaaaaaaak!
Yeah, it could be too much coffee syndrome, but how will I do stupid things faster otherwise. :D

Just kidding, you do have a point with that suggestion. Thanks.
