Receiving attention as a child. . .

I am the older child so at my first six years I got all attention. Then came my brother and the attention was suddenly directed at him. I don't remember that it would somehow significantly annoy me, though. I had more of freedom and it was totally alright. Of course only to the time when my parents wanted me to look after my little brother. When he started school it became okay again.

I am the middle child and when we was growing up, I got all the attention alright! I would get blamed for what my oldest sister and youngest brother would do. I think this is called the Middle Child Syndrome.
 
I love my parents. I had a relatively safe and joyful childhood. I don't think I ever bothered to measure how much attention I received.
