I apologize if a thread on this has already been made, but I did a search and couldn't find anything.

Post results from Type Whisperer.

Here's a result I got posting something that is the most intimate thing I have shared with the world. I also think it is the most "me" it gets.

## Executive Summary

This individual appears to be a deeply spiritual person with a strong intuitive sense and a tendency towards introversion. They demonstrate empathy and compassion, valuing personal connections and seeking deeper meaning in their experiences. Their communication style is receptive and reflective, prioritizing understanding and emotional connection.

## Detailed Personality Profile

* **Jungian Type Preferences:** INFJ (Confidence: 8/10)
* **Enneagram Type:** 4w5 (Confidence: 7/10)
* **Tritype:** 469 (Confidence: 6/10)
* **Instinctual Stack:** So/Sx/Sp (Confidence: 6/10)
* **Communication Style:** Intuitive (Confidence: 8/10)

## In-Depth Analysis

* **Cognitive Functions:** The individual exhibits strong Introverted Intuition (Ni), focusing on underlying meanings and patterns. Their Feeling (F) preference is evident in their emotional responses and concern for the prophet's well-being. Extroverted Feeling (Fe) is demonstrated through their compassionate actions and desire for connection. Introverted Thinking (Ti) appears in their attempts to make sense of the prophet's message. The narrative suggests a less developed Extroverted Sensing (Se), as they initially overlook details about the prophet's condition.

* **Core Motivations:** A core desire for authenticity and a fear of being ordinary are evident. The individual seeks deep meaning and connection, resonating with the Enneagram 4's focus on individuality and emotional depth. The 5 wing adds an element of introspection and a desire for knowledge.

* **Tritype Interactions:** The 469 tritype suggests a combination of introspection (4), a need for security (6), and a desire for harmony (9). These types interact to create a personality that is both sensitive and adaptable, seeking deeper understanding while also valuing stability and connection.

* **Instinctual Priorities:** The likely So/Sx/Sp stacking indicates a prioritization of social connections and relationships (So), followed by a desire for intense, meaningful experiences (Sx). Self-preservation (Sp) appears to be less of a focus, as evidenced by their willingness to engage with the stranger and offer help.

* **Communication Patterns:** The individual's communication style is intuitive and emotionally expressive. They actively listen and respond with empathy, demonstrating a strong focus on understanding the other person's perspective. Their language is reflective and focuses on internal experiences.

## Potential Growth Areas

1. **Developing Extroverted Sensing (Se):** Practicing mindfulness and engaging more fully with the present moment could enhance their awareness of their surroundings and practical details. This might involve activities that focus on sensory experiences, such as nature walks or artistic expression.

2. **Managing Emotional Intensity:** The individual's deep empathy can lead to emotional exhaustion. Learning strategies for emotional regulation, such as setting boundaries and practicing self-care, would be beneficial.

3. **Balancing Introversion and Extroversion:** While their introverted nature is a source of strength, consciously engaging in social activities and seeking out new connections could broaden their horizons and provide valuable opportunities for growth.

## Caveats and Limitations

This analysis is based on a limited text sample and should be considered a starting point for self-reflection. Personality is complex and multifaceted, and individuals may not always fit neatly into specific categories. Professional guidance from a qualified psychologist or counselor is recommended for a more comprehensive understanding of one's personality.

Yep, sounds like a few people that are here now and many more that have been here in the past.

ADHD, Autism, and tremendous insight generally accompany these types. Some people [who have been here] also had gifts that have a paranormal attribute though I’m not going to label these.

When it comes to creativity, woukd you say you prefer art or science more?

If you had asked if I prefer philosophy or art, I would have said philosophy. But between art and science is a no-brainer: art all the way.

There are several people here that are the same. Most all here have a high appreciation for art though it is expressed differently. Lately I’ve seen several writers, calligraphy, painters (various mediums), photography, graphic design, etc.

Some display it in their member blogs and it’s really good.

Graphic design, computer programming, and IT professions seem to be notable.

Apologies if you’ve already seen these and I’m rehashing.

Glad you are finding more of who you are - that’s important to people with this personality type.

It's only recently that I discovered I am an INFJ. What I shared in the OP was part of the process of finding this out, so I am trying to be a help to others as well. This discovery was very helpful to me because it helped put a name on what I already knew, or it enlightened me in some ways about who I am supposed to be.

I write and I write poetry. Not professionally, but I have a blog (which actually costs me money rather than getting money from it, but I digress).

I think I ran into this one time. I had to actually put in LESS than more. I think the cut off is around 180K characters or something.

Definitely science. And speaking of AI, I took classes on AI coding and I was just as lost with that as when I tried to make sense out of how bitcoin mining worked. Some things I just for the life of me figure out how it works even with step by step action. I would need someone to show me in person as they go along as I’m working side by side learning it as I am a hands on learner. Trying to do online classes on it still just leaves me scratching my head. I actually understand quantum mechanics better.

@Hyacinth these are all interesting. I don’t believe there are as many people engaged in these topics within this forum but there are a few that participate occasionally.

AI, crypto, and quantum mechanics all have steep learning curves, so I don’t think you’re alone in trying to make sense of it. The good news is that you can engage any of these without having to be a professional; however, if you do become a professional, each can be quite lucrative.

I think there is a smaller subset of INFJ’s that like focusing on a deep understanding of the sciences and it has been pointed out that a particular Enneagram type is more likely to be part of their personality. I personally haven’t explored enneagrams but I have spoken to some INFJs that are aware of it and explained it to me.

I tried many strings of varying length.

Cheers,
Ian

It can feel like a sort of coming home can't it, finding a type match that fits well?

Yeah. I had settled on types before, but it never felt totally right, and I would always revise it. This feels very different.
