Perceiving versus Judging: Humbleness versus Pretentiousness?

Everyone has pretty much covered what I would want to say.

What I have noticed, is in people that are pretentious, the J's will be more overtly pretentious, and the P's will do it more passively. Both will have the same impact though. Out of all the functions Te and Fi have the highest chance of causing a pretentious attitude, followed by Fe and Ti. So by their nature, the judging functions are what cause it.

I am a little late, but I guess I thought I would answer, anyway. I am bored, and I like the provocation.

With the judging function, I think you may tend to make assumptions quickly, but that does not mean that you want what you suspect to be true. Going from there, simply knowing (or believing) somebody has a certain disposition doesn't mean that you think of them as less.

Anyway, are INFJs not noted as tending to be unostentatious? (Well, Keirsey uses this wording in Please Understand Me.)
