Ni exercise!

She became a porn star.

She's gorgeous, women like that attract stalkers.

Seems based on her looks alone some kind of drama happened to her, or because of her....

Or, she could be a lovely, quiet person who has had 5 kids and gained weight and is happily settled down in suburbia for all I know.

Though I still say she looks a bit self-centered (I admitted already I'm jealous!) and that those kids need to have shirts on.

Bold made laugh. :D

As for the guessing:
She looks like one of those persons that are highly adaptable but their eyes give them away, in a sense that she might seem happy but is actually sad (maybe others in this thread sense the same hence so many responses that mention some form of a tragedy).
She looks like a deep thinker, but not one of those that readily share their thoughts.
She seems like an artistic type, but more in a way that she appreciates art rather than creating.

Her and her husband went sailing around the world and were somehow lost at sea and never returned. The kids moved in with family.

She's gorgeous, [...] (I admitted already I'm jealous!)
I just LOVE your honesty, and
She became a porn star.
Well, both of you got something right - she did work as professional model briefly. So if you thought she was somewhat good-looking, apparently others thought similarly.
She looks like a deep thinker, but not one of those that readily share their thoughts.
When she was little, her grandmother didn't let her to school because of religious reasons, and instead made her write in a diary every day. This may have caused the reflective attitude you so well noticed.
Her and her husband went sailing around the world and were somehow lost at sea
YES, you WIN the first phase of this guessing!! :) :) However, this is not where her story ends.

What do you all think, did she enjoy those adventures with her first husband, or she didn't? How do you think she took this whole experience after all, how did it influence her?

She reminds me of Kate off of Lost. My bet is she gets stranded on a magical island after this picture was taken.

Oh, goody!

Okay, I think maybe she'd rather have been a settled woman, but he was such a free spirit and she loved him and was the mother of his children so she went with him. Maybe, possibly, she got fed up with this sort of life, and one day when they took a 'pit stop' she took the kids and ran off.

Maybe now I've gone wayyy off.

I'll postpone the response a little bit, if nobody minds, to let more people think about it, if they wish -- let's encourage more looking at the photo for analyzing her, rather than the story told here. What would you expect she, herself, would do?

(by the way, still in shock how RecklessDreamer guessed this first part of the story so precisely; amazing! made me go: O.O for a moment)

Isn't Kate from Lost, mmm, tougher?.. Also welcome!!

how do you know this person?

naahhh, a few more guesses, perhaps if any, and i'm giving the whole story; the main point was to consider for a moment what you could think of such woman from such photo, and then see what happened... and compare your own impression (not posting in the thread being also an option)

@uber, i don't know her personally, otherwise i would gladly introduce you =) i only know some details of her story, and the most important cornerstones

Okay, good...

I'll mention I got pretty freaked out from the picture when I first saw it, but I don't know why.

Hmm let me take a shot at this. Ok first; she married her husband after having been in multiple relationships with the typical "jerk" type. The other's all swept her off her feat, did romantic things for her but at the same time they all ended up cheating on her, or leaving her. This led to her deciding to find a nice nerd type who isn't the best looking or very athletic but is nice, would be a good father, and has a steady career. He isn't overly wealthy but he makes enough money to support a family, which is one thing she really wants to have. She really doesn't love him but she knows it's practical and she knows to start a family with one of those jerk guys would never end well. She is content with her marriage because her husband pampers her and comes to her every call. She at times wishes that she could have more excitement in her life and have one of those men come sweep her off her feet again, but she loves her children and her husband is a great father. He is always so loving and caring with the children and she knows she couldn't have picked a better father. Still though she wants some excitement in her life so she tells her husband to buy a boat. After his few failed of attempts of arguing the case not to get a boat, he like always accepts and buys a nice boat for them to go sailing the ocean with. For the first few times the boat is exciting but quickly that wears down and she only continues to go because her husband found such a joy in it. She still is only content with her life despite the boat and she grows tired of her husbands attempts to push intimacy. He is a sweet lover but she desires someone who will take control. So after years of trying new things, like the boat with her husband she finally decides to leave him. The kids take it hard but being in college and close to starting their own families they see the truth that their mother really never loved their father. It's a harsh reality but a reality none the less. She now being in mid forties becomes a cougar going from young man to young man trying to fulfill her appetite for adventure. She travels and overall enjoys herself but she starts to become restless again. She misses her ex-husband and the sweet things he would do for her and the way he did anything he could to please her. She realized how good her life actually was and becomes depressed from the thought that she might have wasted away the good years of her life wishing for something that seemed great but instead the whole time, the best thing in her life was in front of her. After a few years and being in her mid fifties she begs her ex to take her back and reluctantly he does. It's not the same though as he no longer does the sweet things he once did and he no longer happily does what she asks. He does it but with reluctance. She realizes leaving him destroyed that part of him, so she lives the rest of her life in regret until she dies surrounded by all her grandchildren and children, yet alone as she could ever be with only the thought of "what if?"....

haha just a guess.

SPOILER ALERT! - Final answers!

SPOILER ALERT!

Here is the story:
-she was awarded the Order of the British Empire by the Queen of England; for her charity work
-she recently completed 26 marathons in 26 days, at the age of 63
-at age 57-62, she ran a full trip around the world, from her home and back, for 5 years
-she left hometown, hitch-hiking to India, when she was 18, before meeting her first husband, so he didn't influence this spirit of hers
-she has broken her bones very badly, numerous times, including recently at senior age; she's been nearly frozen, sick of various exotic illnesses, poisoned, lost, chased by wolves etc; but didn't stop
-overall she is one of the toughest senior women in history, and looking at her as young mother (24 years old in the photo), apart from being in good shape, it's hard to predict such great resilience
-her name is rosie swale-pope, if you want to read more about her

Kudos to Janet for suspecting her of being reckless; although I think she took good care of her family, but indeed with her first husband (the one in the photo) they were sailing around the world, taking their baby with them. (i'm sure Janet would scream ;))

Thanks to all who participated! Hope you found it interesting. As I said, I personally could have never guessed this woman's life, from that photo. She looks too fragile there. I would never imagine her transformation into such a tireless and brave athlete machine:

The thread now could be used for other Ni photo guessing, if anyone wants to experiment with the rest of us. Also, of course, if you want please share your after-thoughts. Did you sense she could be the type of person she turned out to be? Were you surprised?

Wow... what a life!

Despite my deep-seated suspicion of anyone who would put small children at risk of getting sunburned or falling into raging seas, I must admit, that is one impressive lady, and I only hope I'm that tough and fit at 63!!!

It is obvious that the face of the man was photo shopped onto the individual in the wet suit. She manipulated the photo to drive her husband insane.

She's in love/lust with the photographer? She is looking coyly at that person.

I know this is an old thread BUT I KNEW IT! YOU SAID FIRST HUSBAND. That implies that she had a second one. All along I had this weird feeling like she wasn't happy with him and something was wrong. Almost as if they were definitely going to have marriage problems later on. Sorry just had to say it. The feeling was weird but I guess I was right about that.

She's kindhearted and went on to help other people or animals, and have many great adventures (as stated above). She seems athletic, so maybe she stayed fit. Her looks did not factor heavily into her future or career.
