What would you like to tell the child you once were?

As teenager reading this, one wold think I've put myself of the fast track to a successful life. But I don't think it works that way.
Even if you could say these things to your past self, they wouldn't hit home. You can tell me all you want "don't worry what others think about you" or "follow your heart" and I will listen, but I won't understand. I know what those sentences mean, but it is just hard-wired into me to act this way.
Your parents told these same things to you when you were young. I know mine do. That didn't make a difference in the long run. The only way, I think, to learn life lessons is to live them.

Develop your feelings side ASAP. It's very important, and you're going to do it eventually anyways.

When it comes to big decisions about the direction of your life, think about what you WANT to do. What you would enjoy or be interested in. It's not necessarily going to bring the most money or prestige.

Little K*, even if everyone else insists on being a barbarian there is no reason to let them affect you. Follow your conscience always and never look behind.

It doesn't get any better. Ignore anyone who says this. In fact it will get worse.

I would read Little Prince out loud a few times.. And then discuss it with them, otherwise what's a point.

#1. dont spend so much time smoking dope. . .
#2. Debbie will find you someday. . hold on. .
#3. quit trying to figure it out. . you never will
#4. nobody else understands why they're here either
#5. spend more time with your broher John. . you dont have him much longer

Optimism is dangerous. Prepare for the worst. Stop trying to play it safe and live in blissful ignorance, you Will get hurt and when you do, it will leave you dead inside. And remember, it can always Be worse

"You should talk to some specialist about your feelings, don't be afraid. Be honest and true, you should face your fears if you want them to go away. And don't blame yourself, the only thing you can blame yourself for is lack of happiness."

be nicer

"It's going to be okay. It won't be easy, but it's going to be okay."

If I had more time, I'd go on and say: "You are important. People love you, even though they don't always show it. Failure isn't the end of the world. Those apocalyptic dreams will continue for the rest of your life, so learn to laugh about them. You are NEVER going to feel you fit in, so try to enjoy being different. You're much, much stronger than you think you are. Don't get fake nails, you can't bite them."

Then I'd hug me.

Don't start them, but finish your fights. And don't back down back down from one.

It was the left door all along or was it the right.......oh yeah DONT DO DRUGS!! OR WAS IT DO MORE....

I'm sorry. I wish I could protect you.

Don't doubt yourself one day you'll be glad you are the way you are. Embrace who you are stop trying to hid it, it's really your biggest strength.

enjoy every moment you can, pay attention and work hard in school , be nice, people must earn your trust.

You aren't your mother's mother. You are not responsible for your parents' relationships, or those other people have with one another.

Be in your own place, but try not to get lost. Interact some. Stop the guilt.

I'd still say these things to myself today. Please listen.

I think that I'd rather talk to my parents-from-the-past. Just pass them by as a stranger and talk to them, saying something like 'the best part of having a child is you don't know who they'll grow up to be, your son could end up doing physics at university or could travel the world singing' and when my younger self comes to do those things, they'll look back at the time they met future-me and think, 'WTF?!'
