This film is about quantum physics, dealing with the follow but not limited to:
-How the brain functions
-How matter functions when we are looking at it VS when we are not
-How water can be affected by thought
-How things that are commonly considered 'random events' in the scientific community are actually not all that random

I really couldn't list everything this is about, but if you're interested in Quantum Physics, or anything mentioned above you should really watch it. I'm thinking a majority of you have probably already seen it- but it's one of my favorite films to check it out anyway. =D

Yea, great film. I recommend it to everyone. Some of that shit will blow your mind if you aren't aware of it haha.

To be fair. I will have to critizise the film.

I have seen it several years ago, several times. There are many things that they get wrong about quantum mechanics and how it works, and alot of the "science" the put out there, is inaccurate.

THAT BEING SAID!

I don't care about that. I was esctatic when me and my mom first saw this when it first came out. I completly agree with everything said in there. It was like watching a film about my philosphys on life! People may call it "new age bullshit and scicence fiction". Well, so what. New age is not a bad thing at all.

The only thing about this film is that some people cannot understand it. For example, my friend Welsey was very scared after watching this film.

He now has fears that an alien from a different dimension is going to manifest behind him and then when he turns around it will have snapped into a different reality; in other words, it won't be there anymore.

I don't know how he could have thought of this....? He sure is creative.

It's no more inaccurate than a Micheal Moore film. :)

and the main thing I got from watching it was the fact that there is still a lot of unexplained phenomena. Our perception of our existence isn't too accurate.

Sounds like he has got a good dose of the extraverted intuition there. He an ENFP or ENTP?

Wesley? I don't know what he is, he'd never have the patience to take one of those kind of tests. All he cares about is the boys =/

But probably ENFP. He's the mushiest person I've ever met.

I enjoyed the movie quite a bit. Anything that forces you to think outside the box is a good thing.

It was even more trippy, though, that I saw it when I lived in Portland, OR (where it was filmed) and was sitting in the exact movie theatre Marlee Matlin walked into while I was watching it.

Ker-azy crap right there, yo.

^^ That is ker-azy... I got one kinda like that for this film, too... I saw it, loved it, got the DVD. A few months later, I started dating this woman, she saw it in my collecton, and was like "Oh yeah, of course I know that film, I was a PA on it." She's even in the credits.

For starters, we know -bleep-, -bleep-, -bleep- and -bleep-. Quantum Physics defies itself. We need more quantum vacuum collapse. Now THAT will implode your mind.

Well, yes, that theory is simply facenating! However, this video is about much more then quantum mecanics, it is about how the theories can apply to every day life, and explain our world in ways that mystics have been talking about for eons!

The experience and knowledge behind them is nice, but damn the theories Jim! Give me the real universal truth that answers everything.

What I loved about it was the fact that mere observing can change the outcome of the tests...very matrix-y type of shit. However, the one the woman was talking about, where they had a randomizer make sounds in either the left or right ear, then put the master copy in a vault and told a subject to listen, and try to hear more left ear sounds. She said that not only did the subject hear more left ear sounds, but when they took the master out of the vault, it too, had more left ear sounds. They theorized that the subject's desire changed the outcome of both tapes.

I thought that incomplete. What about the sounds themselves impacting the person who told the subject what to listen for?

Regardless, there are 2 things I took from this. First, that there are so many things we DON'T know, and second, that we have much more control than we ever thought possible.

Has anyone ever heard of manifesting?

I have been using it (unknowingly) for a very long time. Several years ago, I came to learn what it is. I use it every day.

Do not take seriously what they say in this movie!

I didn't watch the film since their premise regarding scientific world view's consequences seemed so biased. Upon further investigation I arrived in a conclusion, that my intuition was right.

I'd encourage you to read this: http://skeptico.blogs.com/skeptico/2005/04/what_the_bleep_.html and apply critical thought to the film as you watch it.

I mean. . . gosh, they are telling you that the womam in a red suit is actually Ramtha, a 35,000 years old warrior spirit from Atlantis, who is just being channeled by this JZ Knight character (who also happens to be a cult leader). Need I say more?

There may be interesting philosophy in it, but there is no science to be found.
