The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Songs of the Past

TW3 is probably my favorite video game of all time, just like the author of this YouTube channel.

I have over a thousand hours logged on this game on Steam. Now, the reason for this is that I tend to "restart" the game a million times before I actually finish the storyline.

I have beaten the game. I even have the hardest achievement to get.



I am NOT good at video games, so this really shows the sheer volume I have played for this game.

I am currently playing the "Blood and Wine" DLC to prepare for the new content.

Anyone else excited for this expansion?

Those songs were so good too. Memorized Priscilla's song. Memorized the trailer lullaby one too but don't sing it nearly as well. Want to learn Fields of Ard Skellig.

Also side tangent but I am still scarred for how Netflix BUTCHERED their adaption. Witcher deserved a good show since it is such an amazing story. 1st season was pretty good 2nd was meh and it got worse from there. Hopefully one day someone will make a faithful adaption but it sucks it probably won't be Cavill. He was the PERFECT casting.

I have not memorized any of the songs, though some of them are particularly moving times for the games.

I am close to completing Blood and Wine, but, as many hours as I have on TW3, I have never completed it. Got involved with life, or whatever else. Still, I will probably complete it and have a very nice save for NG+ with the new Songs of the Past Expansion. I also created a fresh character, which I hope to complete by the time the expansion comes out. I just want to make sure all my choices in this playthrough are good, if you know what I mean. I am also very much looking forward to TW4, playing as a Witcher Ciri, which is a twist I didn't see coming, and IDK what this means for the lore of the universe(s) (especially regarding the White Frost).

I've played sever other games just as I have played TW3, just with fewer hours.

I've also played a lot of Bethsda games, Bioware games (though they lost me with Dragon Age: The Veilguard), and an occasional one off game here and there. Xcom 2, was fun. As was FFX and FFXII. These are just the games I have actually completed. I've played quite a few more.

I have not watched the Witcher TV series, but it does sound like they butchered it according to fans of the universe(s).

If anyone is interested, this is a link to a lore playlist for the Witcher. It's really good, and I learned a lot and especially just how deep this universe is.
