Screamo music

A lot of them kept really short sets, maybe 10-20 minutes, because they couldn't keep it up. Others ended up changing their "singing" style (into actually singing), because it was pretty much impossible to scream like that long term.

That's what I was thinking - but even ten minutes of it takes some special screaming talent. Maybe they have different band members take over if the set gets too long.

Huh. I wonder...for you seasoned screamo folks, can you tell the difference between different screamo voices (besides male & female)?

It depends on the band, if they're just screaming, they pretty much all sound the same to me.

The blood brothers were sort of borderline screamo, with two vocalists, and you can definitely tell their voices apart when they're either talking or singing. When they start yelling/screaming, they become harder to tell apart.

I'm pretty sure you're just a big meany head ;_______________; and a bigot. I bet you hate black people too, don't you?

Alright, I said something fairly inappropriate in jest (and because there is some personal truth to it as I used to listen to Korn to annoy my parents when I was that age.)

I sure hope your response was sarcasm (which I assume it is), because if not; that's not an accusation I take lightly.

I figured that was probably the case just needed to clarify because sometimes it's hard to interpret how things are meant to be taken in text.

I listen to and love Post-hardcore (screamo to some). I believe that it

That first song was pretty good actually.

Why do people listen to screamo? For many reasons, some might listen to that type of music to relieve stress, anger or any other emotion. Some might dance to the music, others might even find the music relaxing believe it or not

Absolutely! I am one of those who finds metal to be relaxing...especially if I am in a bad mood or angry about something...or if I have to clean like a mad-person. Most people around here (where I live) like country...I find it irritating to the point of causing nausea.

@NDN NT
Point taken. I think I misunderstood what you were saying. My apologies. :)

I don't particularly enjoy screamo as a genre but I'd be lying to admit that I didn't like any songs with screamo influences. Then again, I like odd things; I do listen to punk rock which is widely attested to be a crappy genre so..yeah.

I don't know if what I listen to qualifies as "screamo" but I do enjoy metalcore and alternative rock with the same sound.

Yeah, you catch my drift. I also find metal to be very relaxing for those exact same reasons. Country is that bad for you? :O Country is ok...I would enjoy that type of music more if they threw in a guitar solo or something. :lol:

Yeah, it really is that irritating to me...I don't know why but it really does nauseate me. It's just weird, because Blue Grass doesn't bother me, lol. Could be because my ex-husband used to play that twangy country, especially Toby Keith *shudders* to irritate me...that's a long and kind of funny story, really.
