Corona / Wuhan virus

We can have the socialist revolution AFTER we've stabilised the planet because its a bit hard to have a revolution when we can't breath the air
Yeah, just like we can have an economy AFTER we deal with a virus.

1) Climate Change
2) Minority Protections
3) Worker's Rights
4) Healthcare and insurance
5) International Relations

But you're right. And my vote goes where these are prioritized with the candidate's mouth. There is potential to benefit the most people. That's all I vote on. That's all anyone can vote on. Self interests or potential to benefit more than yourself. Unfortunately, what's happening now is not a wake up call to a majority of trump supporters. They are rallying behind him. They think he's tough, and smart, and a victim of the previous administration and the media, and the left, and Europe, and 'foreigners,' etc.The propaganda machine really fucking works and people are really fucking stupid. People are really getting sick and people are really fucking dying, but not that many and it'll stop soon and we can work through it and Trump is doing a great job by calling out that ventilator hoarder Cuomo and mean guy gov. Inslee. How dare they even ask for favors from trump right now. Stupid Democrats. The politicizing of every aspect of American life is old and disgusting. Revolution is in the air. Fuck I'm just rambling.

I think people in the USA get really bent about being taxed but they have no problems paying an extortionate amount of money to insurance companies for some reason
Yes. The problem is our tax money often doesn't go where we're told it will go. Or it may for a while, then some corrupt fuck will see a pile of money set aside for something else and use it to pay for something completely unrelated with a promise of paying it back. It shit was legit here folks may be less bitchy about paying taxes. Then again, there's this whole individualism thing here where people view paying taxes as the government stealing from us. We the people, need a mulligan.

Ah. My head hurts. So are they planning to shoot bullets on the virus until it ricochets to their heads? America is headed for a collapse and it's all because of the refusal to recognize that capitalism, especially amoral capitalism, is flawed and suicidal. Get out of that country while you still have the chance. It will be one of the world's greatest liabilities soon. What goes up often goes down and America has been up for a while, so good luck with the mathematical trajectory of that. No offense.

If I may speak freely, this is clearly a phase of denial. The American people are finding it hard to accept that such a small non-being is crippling its high and mighty first world stature. They should remember that David killed Goliath and COVID19 might as well be the David of 2020. Do they really need to see the bodies before they realized they're ultimately fucked? I listened to Trump a while ago, I think the old man is just confused.

While the situation is dire indeed for the United States, I do believe we will come out of this better than before. Our young people are witnessing this. They are out next leaders. They see the shit show politics. They see people helping in the streets. I do believe we are heading in the right direction. Maybe many of us won't be around to witness it, but we will be respectable again.

I saw this morning that donny sent a tweet. . of course he did. . aimed at Rachel Maddow. Now why he would do that is beyond me, but she eviscerated him. .with truth. .it was joyful to read. .Rachel is our voice of truth. and donny, for future reference, she is not some lightweight feather head from fox. . she is the real deal. . and next time, caller doctor Maddow . maybe then you will think before you write. .

Are you pointing your fingers at me and saying I am being patronizing? What is wrong with "some people take things seriously?"

edit to say all is good.
If you don't think I take this seriously you are not paying attention.

Edit - all is good.

Simply mind-boggling...

This is why we need a social safety net.

Oh yes, it will be fun...

“Total System Failure”: Congress Pushes $2 Trillion Pandemic Bill.
Will Dems Allow “Corporate Coup”?
https://www.democracynow.org/2020/3/27/coronavirus_relief_bill_matt_stoller

So, the House is clearly passing this unprecedented $2.2 trillion bill today. Matt, what are your concerns?

MATT STOLLER: Well, I mean, it’s not really a $2 trillion bill. It’s more like a $6 trillion to $10 trillion bill. So, one of the reasons you can tell that the bill is packed with corporate goodies is that, you know, Congress is debating and trying to figure out, oh, you know, is it $2 trillion, a bunch of money for hospitals or money for cities, and meanwhile, a couple days ago, Larry Kudlow is on a press conference and says, “Actually, this is a $6 trillion bill.” And it’s like, how does a bill go from $2 trillion to $6 trillion without anyone really noticing? And the answer is, there’s a bunch of stuff in there — and, you know, there are people on Wall Street chattering about how it’s actually going to be $10 trillion, because, you know, what’s another four? And that’s how you know that the bill is just packed with stuff for Wall Street, for large monopolists.

And it’s done through a variety of opaque slush funds — the Federal Reserve, the FDIC guarantees a bank debt. There’s a whole bunch of stuff that, you know, some of us who worked in the financial crisis noticed, paid attention to, said, “Oh, that’s where they’re stealing all the money.” And so there’s a bunch of stuff in there that’s going to get to Boeing and airlines, that we know about, has been reported. There’s also a bunch of stuff that’s going to get to the hedge fund guys that are bunkering down in their underground wine caves or whatever. And meanwhile, the stuff that we need, for normal people — the ventilators, the unemployment — you know, that’s going to dribble out. Small business is going to dribble out.

And so, what you’re going to see is the $4 trillion to $6 trillion to $8 trillion of basically no-cost or low-cost guaranteed credit is going to be used by Citibank, JPMorgan, and then any big monopolist or large company that can get access to it, to buy up their competitors and buy up small business, who are obviously now in a really distressed state because they don’t have any revenue. So that’s what’s going to happen. And I look forward to all of the progressives who are supporting this, like Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, supporting a wealth tax later on for all the wealth that they are right now transferring to Wall Street. That will be fun.

A month ago when I posted there was going to be another great depression people called me a crack pot in this thread and here we are looking at the exact situation. I don't expect the Dollar and the Euro to kick the bucket until around or right after the holiday season but then very quickly crash not long after. Once it happens the rest of the world will fallow in the weeks after and life will never be the same even after a recovery towards middle of the decade people will live in fear of another crash regardless if the markets move up or down. The value and faith in currency will be low be it paper or digital with the SDR being the reserve currency. Physical gold and silver will be hedges against loss of wealth but ultimately later in the game there is much pain for those who put their faith there as the financial be all. Land outside the towns and cities will experience high demand and will greatly increase in value as people decide to leave for a different way of life.

I was talking about pointing fingers, never accusing anyone of not taking this serious time seriously. All is good meant I was saying it in jest. Hate it when I cannot be understood, but used to it.

If people would like to listen to daily updates from someone, try Cuomo in NY. This is bigger than any one person.

"The UK will do well to keep the deaths under 20,000".

This is ironically the number I was thinking. 20,000 for the UK, around 100,000 for the US.

Both the UK and US are around 1,000-2,000 respectively.

I'd like it to start tapering off now but my knowledge of biology suggests this is the just the iceberg we can see above the surface.

Over the next few months we could see 20x to 50x as many dead from today, if its managed well. Below that will be a massive victory for the systems. But doubt it will go that way.

Stay safe people and avoid getting sick. Hospitals are about to get very busy.

I didn't hear him running down Trump during his entire speech. He is the perfect example of asking people to work together. I will be listening to his speeches every day.
