  • Until thought is linked with purpose, there can be no intelligent accomplishment. With the majority, the barque of thought is allowed to drift upon the ocean of life. Aimlessness is a vice, and such drifting must not continue for him who would steer clear of catastrophe and destruction.

They who have no central purpose in their life fall an easy prey to petty worries, fears, troubles and self-pitying, all of which lead, just as surely as deliberately planned sin, though by a different route, to failure, unhappiness and loss, for weakness cannot persist in a power-evolving universe.

I love it! Thank you! Maybe some day I'll be on a list like that! :D Something to shoot for anyway!
Haha, thanks! ^^ I'm really looking forward to Christmas! Only 20 days left! Hoping that you're having a jolly festive season!

Hi! I do recommend the movie. I revisited it and have decided actually to watch it again. I rarely watch a movie twice, but something about that movie was so touching to me. Let me know what you think if you do watch it.

I return the hope for your wellness and happiness and that life is good for you.
I was just thinking, did anyone ask you if you wanted a card too? I would be happy to send you one, especially since you are doing such a sweet, selfless thing.

That is a kind offer. I though we were already friends, but apparently not so I sent you a request. A real card from a forum member would be so cool. Send it to: The Feckovic Family @ 1812 Lindey Drive. Lansing, MI 48917 (USA of course). Thanks!!
That's just so synchronous, I was reading your thread! Thank you for the kindness. You still and probably always give me hope. :)
I haven't been back here for a long time and so just saw this today. Have you made any additional efforts at breaking out of the shell? I had heard of couchsurfing in the past, but forgotten. I have to admit I prefer to break out of my shell somewhere outside of my home. Then if it feels uncomfortable I can still go back to my "safe" place instead of my safe place becoming the site of my trauma. I think I may have to consider that psychology and whether that is healthy. ;) I'm glad it went well for you and perhaps hearing you speak of it will inspire me someday. Your mention of hospitality reminded me of a movie I watched recently, The Visitor. It may not have been the best movie ever in terms of cinematic quality (though I think it was very good), yet I valued so much what it had to say about opening yourself to others and how that can bring unexpected joy and catharsis back into your life. Plus there was drumming and there is something about rhythm in life that just makes me happy. :)

At least in written word, I experience you to emanate good will. Perhaps you are more successful in your attempts than your self-perception gives you credit for?

I wish you the best in life until a time when I land back here again and can join you for another visit.
If anyone would like a Christmas card from me, or an equivalent donation to charity, or even a charity Chistmas card, let me know via PM. :)
the cake is very very big, let's say the size of a football field. and it can never go bad. and all for you. and thus, you will be able to live with only "this one cake" :)
LOL, that is so sweet! I like your picture too, you just seem like such a great person. :)
