  • Hi Silverwing  How have you been, my friend? I am so sincerely sorry for the delay in my reply. My schedule is very often 5 to 6 days straight with no sleep (sometimes more), working around the clock. So... many times I may have signed in here but am away from the computer. (I mention this so a misunderstanding doesn't occur where anyone could easily feel as if I am ignoring a message or am just being lazy/not caring, etc) I must say that I feel you are a genuinely good person, one who seeks to lift people's spirits whenever possible. What you said to me deeply touched my heart! It really did and still does, bless your heart. I am so very glad you joined the forum and I'm glad to have met you. Thank you for just being you! I'd love to get to know you better so please feel free to send a PM anytime. I am sure you & I could share many of our "4-legged kids" stories and have many laughs! So I'd love to hear from you, no matter what the subject is. I pray that you're having a fantastic day and are well. Take care friend!
Oh yes, it is very beautiful here. Beaches and forests and countryside galore. :)

I write fiction - I've finished a detective story, some short stories set in the 1930s and right now I'm working on a love story. :) I guess I just write whatever I feel is most important for me to express at that point of my life. Writing about myself directly is too difficult, so I do it through my characters. It really does keep me sane, or at least I think so, haha. What inspires me? Mmm... Just thoughts and feelings and random curiosities about whatever is happening in my day - it's kind of like journaling but through stories. Poetry is something I'm disastrously bad at writing, so I stay away from it. I really prefer a long narrative I can get lost in and which will allow me to build up my characters slowly. Inspiration doesn't come easily for me either, so I just treat it as a side job, something I do everyday, even when I don't feel like it.

Sorry, I got a bit carried away there, didn't I? :) I've been meaning to ask you since your last message - what are you studying? And how is college? Good so far? I hope you have a really wonderful day.
I agree beautiful, and a good reminder from time to time (these always make me cry) - unfortunately I do not know the song : (
Hi Silverwing  I saw you stopped by so I wanted to do the same. I read your "About Me" and loved it. I love how you listed cats! : ) I hope you are having a wonderful day. Take care!
Hmm... I wonder - have you ever figured out exactly what fascinates you so much about matryoshka dolls? They seem quite symbolic in a way, stacking one inside the other. I would play with my grandma's for hours. Then again, I also loved troll dolls, and have no idea why. They have to be the ugliest little toys ever created. Well, it was the 80's. :)

Oh yeah, life is pretty good. Thanks for asking! As you say, it's a mad mad world and I am just trying to get by. This week I've been reading a lot, catching up on novels that have been sitting on my shelf for way too long, and other random lazy stuff like that. I really can't complain. Good luck with the start of college! You'll be fine, I'm sure. :)
My grandma has a collection of matryoshka dolls, although I never knew they were called that until I read your 'About Me' section and googled them out of curiosity. :) How are you? How's life? How goes your mission to spread kindness? :)
