Sometimes a movie becomes so much more powerful if it has a great score and other movies are almost nothing without the accompanying music. I love listening to movie scores, what are some of your favourites?

For me:

1. Braveheart- Probably the most beautiful score I've ever heard, every note was perfect and moving. I firmly believe this wouldn't have been half the success it was without the stirring music, turns anyone into a Scottish patriot. ;)

2. Starwars- Genius! I get excited every time I hear the fanfare, absolutely epic.

3. Lord of the Rings- The music is as grand and epic as the books and movies themselves, takes you away to middle earth.

4. Batman Begins- I especially love the piece "Corynohinus", full of sadness, but beautiful.

5. Jaws- Goes without saying this was genius, apparently Spielberg thought that John Williams was having a laugh, terrifying.

Honorable Mention:

Indiana Jones
Back to the Future
Transformers
Gladiator
The Star Trek movies

The music in Titanic caused an emotional upheaval that lasted for weeks.

Yeah that's a good one!

Sweeney Todd

Seriously... i will probably not watch the movie again, but i will definitely buy the soundtrack. Such haunting melodies and beautiful singing.... *drifts away in the music*

You just can't be in a bad mood when you listen to it! I'll have to look it up on You Tube.
Love those Bee Gees.

The Shadow and The Crow are two that jump to mind as powerful but most musicals fit into my favourite category.
