My Dad was absolutely awesome. He raised me my entire life and has been an amazing father, and 1/2 of a mother (he cooks, cleans, is empathetic). We used to butt heads when I was younger because we were so much alike, but I really do owe my life to my father. Without him I would be seriously more screwed up. (He's an ENFJ)

I think my Dad is ISTJ. So very different from me. As a kid I longed to connect to his heart; he was always busy with this and that. He wasn't an "absent" dad, but I rarely connected. Also, he has many health issues, and is hyper-focused on that. It's like he's locked in his own world, and he's stressed about everything and can't see beyond himself. I'm sad, but I can't do anything about it; he doesn't know how to leave his world - can't in fact. I want freedom for him, but he's afraid.
