Question, question, question! :D What are your favorite songs to work out to? Do you have a particular playlist for it? If so could/would you share it with us/me? I'm just looking for some new stuff to hype me up when I'm sweating it out.

It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he's watchin' us all in the eye of the tiger

I listen to heavy classical music, techno, strong rock, heavy rap, and guitar solos. In that order.

I can't take most rap during a workout. It tends to be too laidback, or racist, or narcissistic bling bilng crap. Eminem is pretty much the only one I can take, and then, only about 5 of his songs.

I can take Heavy Classical, Techno, Inspirational Music, Classic Rock

Fort Minor, Jurassic Five, Heiruspecs, and Styles of Beyond all have some good workout music. I don't care if it's laid back as long as I feel the energy. Which is why I like Classical and Techno. I'm liable not to even listen to the words anyway. I'm going to listen to the sounds and get the energy off the base, have the drum kicking my heart into high speed, that guitar shedding my blood. The piano ripping my thoughts apart. I find this is the best way to concentrate/think and work out at the same time.

Zwara, Komit and Conquistador II by Juno Reactor.

I run to the beat of the music and the beats are coming fast. I like to play Komit as my finisher for my 10 mile runs. It contains a slow spacey twilight calm into a relentless violent tone, at this time I would be using up whatever gas I had left in a full sprint.

  8. I have an entire play-list dedicated to working out.

This is a straight copy and paste, so it might be a bit messy. If you happen to recognise some of the more obscure band names here, do let me know. :)

I definitely had to download a few tunes that are out of my element once I realized my usual music wasn't really getting me jazzed. These are a few that I've found that are pretttty high tempo/inspiring (right term?!) but I usually switch my playlist up every second week so I don't lose that desired effect.

Spirit in the Sky - Norman Greenbaum
Take Your Mama Out - Scissor Sisters
Piece of Me - Britney Spears
    9-5 - Dolly Parton
Black Betty - !!!Spiderbait (This version specifically.)
Hit the Road Jack - Ray Charles
Play that Funky Music - Wild Cherry
    Bucky Done Gun - MIA
Electric Feel (Justice Remix) - MGMT
Anthem for the Year 2000 - Silverchair
    the Rulers Back - Jay-Z

Yeeaahhh, I don't get their accent. Whenever I hear the song I hear them as singing "Play that fucking music"

I exercise with Dance Dance Revolution so my exercise kind of supplies its own sound track. Convenient, that.

I don't "work out" but I do ski. This is some stuff I like to listen to when I ski:

    Perfume Tree - Flooded
Basement Jaxx - Oh My Gosh
    Lycia - Wide Open Spaces
    Seefeel - More Like Space
UNKLE - Eye for an Eye
    Bowery Electric - Slow Thrills
    Faithless - We Come 1
    Hooverphonic - Out of Tune
James Hardway - See Through Me
    Justice - Genesis
    Leila - Mollie
Misstrip - A Ticket to Death

Too lazy to add links to the songs. All of it has a "cold" feel, as the best way I can describe it. Alot of dnb, dance, and or shoegaze ambient spacey stuff.

    Severe Torture
    Fleshgod Apocalypse
    Immolation
    Abominable Putridity
    Severed Savior
    Dead Congregation
    Devourment
    Dismember

    early Grave
    early Carcass
    Cannibal Corpse
    Psycroptic
    Pestilence
    Swallow the Sun
    Kronos (France)
    Inveracity

    and some other random stuff...

    The Ocean
