It's like they miss out on about 60% of life, because that subterranean Fi is perpetually obscured to them.
They kinda know it's there, but equally can't really connect with its presence, and so you find them ascribing emotional experiences to other facets of their personality like self-interest.
They don't have a void at their core, but it feels to them like they might.
Now that's a horrific way to live.

I have a very limited tolerance for jokes at Pin's expense.

Look the thing is, even if Pin were at the bottom of this foursome, it's gotta take some guts to handle 600lbs of flesh bearing down on you. I can respect that. That's alpha as fuck.
