What's the best spoof movie? ;)

Please post movie clips or trailers.

Once there are about 10 films mentioned repeatedly, I'll add a poll.

Galaxy Quest

I'm not sure if Support your local sheriff counts, but it's awesome.

Airplane!

and the original Austin Powers.

Hot Shots 1 and or 2. Early 90'ds spoofs of both Top Gun and a general spoof of vietnam movies like rambo and apocalypse now.

^^ Naked Gun (Leslie Nielson movies).

I can't remember many. I'm Gonna Get you Sucka (blaxploitation), Scary Movie (obvious),
Space Balls (Star Wars) come to mind, though.

I can already tell a poll would be useless, 30+ options means no real difference in votes per XD

The Original "Austin Powers"!! Are they mutated Sea Bass??

And no one rocks Star Wars like the Family Guy Crew!!

I can agree on Spaceballs, and perhaps on hotshots. I've not seen Airplane, or can't remember it, though. Haven't seen the Family guy one, but I hate Family guy anyway.
But I absolutely loathe Naked gun and Austin Powers. >_<

In my opinion, you've all got nothing on Mel Brook's "Robin hood: Men in Tights"

Course I've watched all these movies that have been listed and can remember guffawing at all of em. I think I was the only one that liked Robin Hood Men in Tights in my family, but that movie was priceless. Always loved Mel Brooks.

This is kind of a general all western spoof. <3 Blazing Saddles

Sex in the City 2

It's a parody of the modern rich urban woman. Women a hundred years ago campaigned hard to get equal rights to men. War gave them the opportunity to show that they could do jobs just as well as men. Combined with the need for the power elites to make concessions to the populace who had bled themselves dry during the war, in order that the rich could get richer, women got the vote and the work place began to open up so that the rich could expand their workforce and lower wages

Suddenly they were in a unique position that no women had been in before, it seemed like anything was possible. Two paths opened up before them. They could try to reform the aggressive male world and create a more empathetic, cooperative world and be individual, strong minded people or they could shun intellectualism and embrace fashion, materialism and careerism and ape their aggressive male counterparts in order to elbow their way up the corporate ladder

Unfortunatly many failed to see the potential of the female liberation movement and allowed themselves to be corrupted by a glitzy, vacuous, sexualised world created mainly by men, where women were objectified and activley sought to objectify themselves.

They failed to bring greater empathy into the workplace and only became successful by apeing their aggressive male collegues and some even used their bodies.

Despite this they continued to be paid less then their male counterparts as they failed to realise quite how sick the system is that they were so desperate to become a part of.

The end result? These aggressive career obsessed women suddenly found themselves in their middle ages and without a husband because they had been so busy chasing their careers and seeking a perfect male that would be even stronger and smarter than them (but there weren't any people stronger or smarter than them)...cue programmes such as 'Ally McBeal', 'Sex in the City' and 'Ellen'

Sex in the City beautifully parodies the empty materialism and neuroticism of modern fashion obsessed women who desperately try to create perfect moments in their life from their favourite romantic comedies such as 'when harry met sally' only to be dissappointed because reality isn't like hollywood. The aggressive predator persona created by battling their way up the corporate ladder has scared off their knight in shining armour and unfortunately all it seems to attract is reptilean men looking for their next conquest.

Where can they find a nice man they wonder as they leave the Gucci store and head to the expensive cafe populated by bankers and gay waiters

Airplane!

The film it parodied was so horrible. I watched it once, and laughed at the guitar scene, because it was almost exactly like the one in Airplane! People just suddenly start popping in out of nowhere.

Definitely agree on Galaxy Quest. The actors worked incredibly with each other.

Pretty much any Mel Brooks film is great too.
