oooh I love Indie flicks and foreign films!

One I saw a number of years ago was "The Science of Sleep" quite bizarre and trippy, but a great film!

Great idea for a thread, come on people let's post some favourites, there are bound to be some hidden gems. One documentary I would probably have never seen except for this forum was The King of Kong, and from the description I would probably not have tried it. I gave it a try as I thought if an infj recommended it, there must be something to it.

Some of my favs (indie or not)

The Fisher King
Cool Hand Luke
The Usual Suspects
The Shawshank Redemption
Donnie Darko

Not exactly indie, but a relatively unknown little film called "Return to Paradise"

I watched Fat Girl the other day.

It's the kind of story I'd tell.

Really looking forward to seeing the rest of the Sound of My Voice. It has already opened but it will be some time before it plays in my city.

Cube, Evil Dead 2, Gideon and then you have the Coen Brothers movies... The Hudsucker Proxy, Raising Arizona, O Brother Where Art Thou

Ghost World is pretty much essential for anyone from ages 17-23.

This is a hard one 'cause I love movies and estimate I've seen upwards of 10,000 in my life, maybe more. I came to this figure after spending almost all of an 8 hr. overnight hospital shift checking off movies I had seen from a listing of all the videos at a local shop. I counted almost 2,000 at that time. In 1989. The figure really surprised me at the time. But I just got cable a year ago for the first time. Before that I rented movies. I watched around 10 movies a week no problem That's only a couple movies a night. Aprox, 3-4 hrs. avg. And yeah, I sat in front of the tube almost every night after work. I've been dealing with chronic pain since I was 25. Living with mod-sev chronic pain lends itself to a sedentary lifestyle. Way long winded but nobody has to read this if they don't want to, and it occupy's time. Some of my favorite movies:
