That's just a meta analysis which concludes that mask-wearing can be uncomfortable.

I don't think this is news. Nobody is saying that wearing masks is a fun game for all the family - it's a necessary compromise.

If you're so strongly against masks, why not just advocate for the more comfortable face shields?

@larry806q – It was my understanding that students were not allowed to wear masks at @acd's child's school. She'll correct me if I misunderstood.

@SpecialEdition – My favorite part of the that is "bangs". :tearsofjoy::sob::tearsofjoy:

No it was optional. But almost no one wore them so it was pretty pointless. As quarantines and covid positive cases have gone up substantially in the district, they switched to mandating masks for all in an effort to prevent closing.

I feel rather hotly about this particular subject.

My state (US) is governed by an individual who is offering grants to schools that do not enforce mask / vaccine mandates. In addition to this, the schools only qualify for these grants so long as they stay open for in-person learning through the end of the school year - which means that, no matter how bad our cases get, there can be no distance learning for them. The entire idea makes me sick.

In the first 3 weeks since the schools' reopening (just our school district), they jumped from 80 positive / close contact cases to 350. Thankfully the schools my children go to weren't the hardest hit. I've encouraged my children to keep wearing their masks. It's not a guarantee, but even if they're asymptomatic and it helps prevent spread, it's something.

Since those reports of the cases, though, they're now finally requiring quarantines for close contact cases, but still no mask / vaccine mandates.

Ah yes..internet facts..who needs reality. Do what you want, but people are dying..like it or not, we are in crisis. Dr internet may soothe you, but when covid comes to call,it will not save you.

Ah yes.......1. Covid did come to call and thanks to the bullshit on the internet it wasn't a big deal AND I have co-morbidities. So you are suggesting the Japanese treatise is just internet facts?

I forgot to ask....how do you know we are in crisis?

Hospital's are out of beds..surgeries are being canceled..so, if you or a loved one contracts covid..go ahead, take ivermectin..don't go to real healthcare.. Find a cure on the internet, Godspeed..

For those who want convinced ALL information on the Internet is garbage. Most of the 3rd world countries not only use but rely on Ivermectin (apparently in an effort to kill of their citizens),however those efforts are failing miserably since they ALL have lower death rates than the more civilized world. Who wants to trash this.

It's on the internet, therefore it is already trash.

Oh wait. It's on the internet (even a site like pubmed). Nevermind,

How do you know that you are not?
1. Medical staff are being threatened with their jobs if they don't get the jab.
2. The hospitals are empty.
3.The southern border is wide open allowing infected people into the country.
4. Politicians keep having LARGE parties without masks or social distancing.
5. Patience...I need time for more.

Are you actually suggesting ivermectin has never been used for people?

There is a province in India 70% of the population of the United States that chose to use ivermectin and their covid statistics blow away all countries not using it.

No. I'm making fun of people who use it without a valid prescription but claim they won't get the vax because they don't know what's in it. People out here buying up horse dewormer at the feed store.
