AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Ok, maybe not. But they are turning on the Large Hadron Collider today, which at least one botanist feels will lead to killer particles and black holes which will obliterate the planet within a few short months. Of course, Stephen Hawkings says that is unlikely, and it seems a lot of people are willing to bet on him. It is suppose to take a few weeks for it to fully get warmed up but it will be interesting to hear if everything is working all hunky dory.

Well, if this doesn't kill us, something else will probably come around to do it within the next century...
They're predicting that a giant meteor has a 1 in 40 chance of hitting the earth in year 2029 or something like that.

Isn't a botanist someone who specialises in organic things, like plants.
That considered I'm not very concerned. Well maybe a bit about him.
