really no point in watching the "trial". this isn't going to get rid of him, that will have to wait for the election

So the rules do not apply to anyone. When Warren or whoever gets in there, and by God she will, she should ignore the norms and go after restructuring this nation to combat climate change, institute universal health care and tax the fuck out of the one percent. If that means staking the SCOTUS or whatever who gives a flying fucking shit.

Bernie is the only one who is really wholly on board with universal healthcare

I disagree, Warren not only is on board but, given her skill and intelligence, has a better chance of moving forward on it. I like Bernie, supported him in 2016 but see Warren as the smarter choice.

I'm very split between the two, for similar reasoning

But it should say first 2020 presidential debate!

I agree.
I feel that the so-called "moderates" who might switch their vote from Trump have the whole "democratic socialist" misconstrued hangup nonsense working against him.
Who do you see as a good VP for Warren?
I could definitely see a Warren/Harris ticket...I think that would be a smart duo.

Not sure I want Warren to win. It's nice having her in the senate representing us.
The problem is that most politicians seem to forget they are there for anyone but themselves.

I would like to see Harris as Attorney General, and have Warren run on that. Smart move on VP is someone who can deliver a toss up state ...Bidden? Klobachar?

She would be a good AG.
Not sure about the rest, they should put Yang in charge of Social Security!

How very impartial...

***careful, he'll have our heads on a spike like the twisted emporer he sees himself as. He's a sick prick for sure :imp:

Spikes and pikes!
I agree!

It's really actually sort of fascinating how easily some people fall for his BS.
Those so-called "Christians" who follow Trump around really need to reassess their stance!
Such as the pro-life rally he attended yesterday - he's talking about protecting religious liberty, and how it's under attack, lol!
Yes, by him.
If these folks want to really see a religious group under attack - they only have to pay attention to what he is doing to our Muslim-American friends.
Religious freedom my ass...only if you are white...only if you are "Christian"...only if you are conservative/evangelical...only if you are pro-birth...only if you are straight.
Everyone else not in those categories has seen the exact opposite of religious freedom being dealt to them by Trump and his administration.
And the crowds cheer...unable or unwilling to see their own hypocrisy and ignorance...releasing more distain, hate, and intolerance into the world under the guise of "religious freedom".
Our Constitution makes clear a separation of church and state is required.
If the churches want to get political then they need to pay their fair share of taxes or STFU and get out of here.

I hear that and agree emphatically!

Just had a conversation with a T-supporter last night. It left me speechless and I could only walk away feeling ill. He told me he would vote Trump a second time when he runs again, because, and I'm quoting the fella from last night, "He may be dead wrong about a lot of things, but at least he's sure where he stands. "

With one eyebrow raised, I shook my head no and walked away thinking yg2bfkm.
Prime example of the idiocy of human behavior that got his, Trump, sick ass elected in the first place! Who thinks that it's ok to elect a sociopath to the highest office, and said sociopath has proven repeatedly that he is adept at changing/waffling off topic to gleen whatever suits himself and pleads ignorance when caught ?!? Diversonary aka gaslighting tactics are the Don's mo. Geeish.

It's a doomed world we live in when people elect our officers with that kind of mindset, that yep, he's wrong but it's ok because he can sell a bullshit pile a mile long and tell us it's roses.

To me, it's all the more reason not to waste our vote. Americans need to pay closer attention to the candidates and not worry about who's judging where they cast their vote. I get ill when I hear people talk about voting like their friends and neighbors because they don't want to risk their social standing. Some I've called out and asked directly how their going to feel standing in a breadline with these same people they once were trying so hard to impress.

I agree with you 100%!
Something has got to give here.
