I just want to note that there isn't a direct translation from MBTI type to socionics.

Some people have created the myth that if you change the last letter of the MBTI introvert type acronym to the opposite then you get a Socionics equivalent, i.e. MBTI INTJ = Socionics INTp. As I said, it is a myth and even though such conversion may work in some cases, it does not work in all cases.

Yeah, they don't directly correlate, and the j to P thing actually only goes for introverted types. An INFj would most closely correlate with an INFP, because their dominant function is an introverted judging function, Fi, hence the j. An ENTj would still most closely correlate with an ENTJ because their dominant function is an extroverted judging function, Te. Whereas, INTjs most closely correlate with INTPs, with their introverted judging function at the forefront, Ti. And for an ENFp, ENFP, with extroverted perceiving dominant, Ne (etc. etc.). Definitely not direct, but there are some connections.
