Random Religious Thoughts

I was not necessarily saying the relationship did not involve love.

So do you believe being human only involves sin?

If you do then how is a relationship with God possible?

Also I did not say humans have no free will, for some reason you think I did?
I think I misunderstood you😳
Being human means that we cannot be without a sin. " ...the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." (Mt 26:41)
But we should try to sin as less as possible.

Maybe not now but in the afterlife sin won't be part of us any longer. We would be with God. hopefully.

Some congregations put too much burden to people with focusing on sin, what causes fear and moralization instead focusing on thr Lord's love and grace.
Psalm 145:8 says:
"The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love."
145:14 "The Lord support all who fall and lifts up all who ate bowed down."
145:20 "The Lord watches all over who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy."
Native speakers will better understand the difference between words "bad" and "wicked".

When a woman was cought in adultery, (notice that they wanted to punish only the woman) Jesus tenderly said to her to go and not to sin anymore (John 8:11)

So, the Lord doesn't wait for us to commit a sin and punish us, He is more like a safety net to catch us and when we slip
I get what you are saying. Making people afraid is not really a constructive thing. It interferes with their connection with God.

On the other hand, we do want people to spiritually grow; we want "ourselves" to spiritually grow, and that can't happen without facing our screwups.

Somehow there is a healthy balance in the middle. One of the things I used to always say to my kids was "God loves you just as you are, and calls you to something higher."

As a Christian I think you’re spot on here.

I usually veer away from anything Gemini
I'm confused. You're Christian, but you also do astrology? A form of divination? I'm not judging. I just am not sure what to make of it.

🤔.. Gemini is Ai. In the case of what I quoted Gemini simply culls and curates the information via various sources ( which I then checked ) before quoting.

I don’t deal in divinations; tarot, astrology, numerology, etc.

Martin Luther concluded that we are all simultaneos sinners by nature, but justified in the eyes of the Lord. Because of Jesus redeemed us with dying on the cross.
Because we can't be without a sin, we should repent again and again and try to sin as less as possible.
What is actually the criteria to label a person as "bad"? Does the sin makes you feel bad?
If you commit a crime, than the judge will tell you that you are bad by sending you to prison.

Hebrews gives me cause to pause for a moment. Repenting again and again is not aligned with Hebrews. In Hebrews 10:
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;

17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.

18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

21 And having an high priest over the house of God;

22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

.....and their sins and iniquities I will remember no more. I don't think God would have us to live in guilt any longer after understanding how Jesus took the place of the offerings that brought back remembrance of our sins.

8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;

9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

Reading the entire chapter reveals to those with eyes to see the entire process. Reading Leviticus describes what He removed/ took away.

You put it very nice to your kids 👍🙏

I actually have to say thank you.
Cause all you have said in the last months have made my path, related to faith, much more easier. So in the last days I had time to think. Very well.
I have to admit that I wanted to reply with a simple "Nabucosonodor II and the general Tito" are just two good construction workers. But then a thought passed through my mind: Would have Jesus replied to you in that way ? No. So I just want to say thank you. Yes the son of god was Jew, you are correct. But the message my messaiah teaches me is " che la pace sia con tutti voi" - "may peace be with all of you"

I hope you find the peace in your heart that you're desperately looking for

really I do.
