Random Religious Thoughts

Define graceasyou understand it, then answer my question, if youare so inclined.
I think the question for you was for a better understanding of how to answer you, not to test you. I could be wrong, though. You did use the word first.

@digits The parables in the New Testament, if looked at seriously, give answer to your first question very well. Please read the parables.

I look at God as a Father, and I as a son. Parents bring their children up in hope. Most parents do not abandon their children, though some have unfortunately been so and even abused and/or mistreated. I talk with God as I would a Father, and I feel His Spirit within me helping to guide me through life. Most children do not want their parents to tell them what to do when they grow up. Most parents want to see their children turn out well in this world and beyond.

People use the term "free will" readily, though I try not to for personal reasons I wish not to discuss right now. Our parents usually want us to make our own decisions in life as we age. They will correct us should we get too far off track, though. Some people make bad decisions in life. Some people make a life out of bad decisions. We are taught that God is Love, and I agree wholeheartedly. If we do not live with love in our hearts toward God and others, we have a lot to learn.

I have gladly read in the Old and New Testaments(KJV) more than all the other books I have read combined. These words have made me the man I am. My spirit will continue to grow in the Word as long as I am.

God, as the Creator, I love and worship. God, as the Son, is my hero. God, as the Holy Spirit, is my life. God, then, is my best friend. Understanding the differences in Leviticus and the offerings to God, and how Jesus took the place of the offerings, is a blessing(Hebrews). I would offer my life for everyone else if I could, but I am not a perfect sacrifice. I am a son of man in my flesh. The Bible talks about hope. It speaks of faith. It teaches compassion. It helps develop wisdom and understanding. Ephesians Chapter 2 talks about grace. A concordance would show where grace is used, but we have computers and search engines now instead of concordances. I have a concordance, myself, as we had no search engines when I started studying. I encourage you to find the meaning of grace yourself. Why? Then we can discuss it.

We are asked to do certain things in the Bible as best as we can. Some things are a must, but there was an exception on the three crosses....baptism. Baptism, to God, is like washing your friends' feet to me. It shows certain parts of one's spirit to others...and to God. It helps to form us into the person God teaches us to be.

Please do not quote me on this until it is finished. I hope to get some rest and sleep for tomorrow. Unfinished...
