Old Soul Facet

I still don’t think the past/present/future apply here.
IMHO we are outside of time as we perceive it when we die.
Perhaps it is perceived to be the “past” when people "remember” things like "past lives"...but I see it as only simultaneous life in another...space or universe or dimension (though dimension is the wrong word).
Conversely, precognition has shown in some rather strong ways that it does indeed exist...that we can see into the future, or that our bodies will react to the future stimuli anyhow.
Suggesting?
That it’s all there now...we only have to access it...which our physical brains are not designed to do imho.
I feel that those who identify as an “old soul” are probably more aware of these other lives going on elsewhere than those who don’t believe such things.
I feel we are all the same on the pathway, only the view is obscured more for some.
Anyhow...I could be dead wrong...idk...just a thought.

Excellent theory Skare. It could be very highly probable that individuals who perceive themselves as "old souls" have this deep subconscious awareness that lives go on elsewhere. The idea of the multidimensional/multiverse theory is also a very likely probability. Time does not exist, it really isn't linear. "Reality is ultimately timeless" stated by Albert Einstein.

We also talked briefly about the deja vu phenomenon, how does this particular anomaly explain why many individuals get these sudden feelings of "knowing" or realizations that they have done a certain errand or gone through a similar event before? Are we beings living in a multi-universe where we are simultaneously living in the past and future? Perhaps, you can think of the universes as invisible layers metaphorically like a cake, we don't overlap with one another, but we do meet somehow. However, what type of universe are we living in? Are we moving forward or backwards?

And somehow, one of the universes can briefly overlap into our own reality? Hence why some us experience only quick moments of either (past-deja vu) or (premonitions-future)? Hmmm, maybe yes, maybe not, but you do question that the time in the universe is a completely complex thing that we humans have yet have to contextualize. There are dozen of possible ideas, but so many questions.

Many current researchers and scientists are looking more and more into the theory of the multiverse, and the last paper that Stephen Hawking wrote before his passing was on this particular theory, I heard it is quite fascinating but very hard to understand lol. You gotta miss the man, he was an absolute genius and gem. I honestly feel the world has gone a little dumber since his passing. Funny how he passed away exactly on pi day. But anyways!

There is another plausible theory that physicists believe that time is actually moving backwards in a whole different twin universe, which I have mentioned earlier that was in conjugation to my earlier question of time moving either forward or backwards. There was this preconceived notion that the Big Bang theory was made up of matter and anti-matter, and was proven to be correct. And then the theory of a universe containing only anti-matter arose, but later dismantled and proven to be false--- until just recently by two scientists in Caltech whom both believe that it is possible that there can be a twin universe on which time is moving only backwards.

They built a model of the Big Bang that uses refined thermodynamics and Newtonian physics. But the real question is, which universe is going forward or backwards? They are still working on this question right now, so we still yet have to know unfortunately.

How does these theories pertain to the "old soul" idea? Well, could it be that "old souls" come from universes where time moves differently? Or rather "old souls" who have lived in different types of universes time and again, hence why they have this aura or energy of wisdom/maturity? But I suppose it doesn't explain why there are some people who have such childlike characteristic and tendencies lol.

So many questions! Not enough answers!!

Imagine each one of these droplets as a universe the light passing through them.

Great post Jenny!
Some very thought-provoking ideas and theories.
Thanks!

Yes...I have always had the idea that when we die we also pass out of the flow of time so to speak.
This could explain why such things like hauntings occur (when an apparition seems to replay a moment of trauma over and over but seems to have very little if no conscious reactivity) - because it’s only playing out once...it’s just stretched across time as it is outside of it and that is how we perceive it here.
At least that is my theory. ;)
This could also be why when trying to communicate with the dead or whatnot that they only get very brief and short answers and then they tend to just stop all of the sudden...or when the recoding on an EVP is slowed down sometimes a voice in normal speed is heard, and I’m not talking garbled voices either.

Or some equate it to yelling across a great divide or a wide river....you can’t have a conversation like you normal would...instead you yell one or two words back and forth at a time otherwise you wouldn’t be understood.
Also apparitions themselves could very well be our reality crossing another, or that another time has spilled into ours momentarily...at the very least not spilling into but perceived to have taken place (or is taking place in another time simultaneously and the veil is thin in places at “times” and maybe for reasons we don’t yet understand?

Anyhow, back to the multiverse and deja vu...yes, I have heard that it could be this lining up of other universes crossing with ours...that we are both doing the same thing in unison or one is slightly ahead of the other and you can feel that somehow.
Or others have also suggested that deja vu is when the splitting off of another universe has occurred and for just a moment your mind is in both until they separate out further.

I don’t think time flows in one way or the other...it seems to in our perception of it...but then we know time is relative to speed and mass...I have always had the strong idea that the particles from the cosmos and elsewhere that are always passing in-between our own particles that we are comprised of are passing information back and forth somehow...at that speed and quantum size - time would be incredibly slow for those particles and should have plenty of time for such info to be shared - possibly providing a theory of how we can access things like a collective consciousness or Akashic records, or even PSI phenomena - there are still no working models of how the information is passed from one person to another via thought.

But people always think in limited dimensions.
The particles the make up everything are constantly blinking in a out of this reality.
Where do they go...a higher dimension is probably where.
It explains quantum entanglement...you can have two particles on an X, Y, Z axis millions of miles apart and the math says that the spin of both will still simultaneously change at once when you change the spin of one.
So yes they are moving apart on those other axes, but when we add another dimension higher than the one we perceive we exist in, then it can remain perfectly still on that further axis - which would create the illusion for us that they are breaking the rules of the speed of light and communicating faster than.
When they aren’t.
At least that’s the idea.
Imho, our physical brain exists here in our limited perceived dimensions, but our mind can stretch out much further than that and can exist on higher planes of reality or higher dimensions - sending signals as a “soul” to our brain, but the mind/soul not actually physically existing in this dimension.

Yes, Hawking was an amazing person considering his challenges and the brilliant contributions to science he has given us, may he enjoy flying around the universe(s)!

Yes...anti-matter, dark matter...my personal thought is that “dark matter” that we know makes up a damn good portion of the universe we are in is pure consciousness.
That is why it cannot be found as a “particle” per say.
It IS the in-between space amongst it all...perhaps it is the ether that carries our thoughts from the universe and back?
Perhaps it is that dark-matter/ether that allows for ESP and PSI phenomena to work as a transmission pathway or substance?

I feel that as far as the maturity level of some people and them being an “old soul” or not is probably an unknown...my thought is that it is not so much that some souls are older or more mature than others but that their perception in their current incarnation doesn’t allow them to access the other selves...or that they have never tried to or thought of trying to do so even.
That and the ideas of living certain lives to learn certain things would necessitate some people to be more closed off in order to gain a specific perspective that is desired or needed for said lesson of experience.
Though I feel that through meditation we can improve our “connectivity” to our other selves - or at least connect more to a sort of universal consciousness/collective/Akashic records(?)/consciousness of the universe/higher self - as in, the consciousness that exists in and is aware of being in a higher dimension than this one we are currently aware of and living in physically at this moment in “time”, lol.

Thanks for the brain food Jenny!
Ttys and much love!

Yes! Excellent perspective there Skare! Many paranormal researchers believe that spirits are usually stuck in moment of trauma, hence why conversations with the dead is usually unusual and only pertains to a certain event. I always thought it was so fascinating. Although, I have my moments of doubt and skepticism with ghosts and demons, there were events in my life that were and are unexplainable. I am already getting the chills haha!

I actually have been watching some videos lately from this YouTube channel called Huff Paranormal, and it's very interesting. This guy uses this spirit box to communicate with the dead, and although it is highly entertaining and creepy in some instances, I have some skepticism. I don't know! The universe is a crazy place. It's hard to be really sure what is real or not out there.

Great point there Skare! I actually had a crazy far-fetched idea in a similar context as this one day, and wondered, what if some advanced alien civilization have the mental capability and capacity to communicate with other beings through mental signals or rather "telepathy?", hence why we as human beings have yet to see concrete evidence of other aliens because other civilizations already have found a way for communications without the hassle of interstellar travel?

Sounds pretty crazy and far out there, but you do wonder if there are some alien civilizations that are so mentally advanced and capable to communicate with others though telepathy without having that physical hassle to travel.

Exactly! It is definitely a possibility that somehow dark matter can be a huge contributor on carrying out thoughts, ESP and PSI. I wonder if it pertains to the Law of Attraction? Do you believe in the Law of Attraction?

Awesome point of the view there Skare, and great possibilities!

And you're welcome! :D

This is generally my first reaction when everybody goes a bit woo woo, and I'm left there like 'guys c'mon! Your dead grandma did not just help remind you that you needed to pick up cabbages from the shop by raising the room temperature by half a degree.'
Don’t you woo-woo me!
lololol
JK
Nah, we’re just speculating and theorizing and coming up with strange scenarios to explain unexplainable events (many of which I have experienced).
Still nothing with cabbages though... :tonguewink:

I agree with certain things being taken a step too far by certain people...and though I may speculate and discuss theories from others and myself that are out there...they are not always a solid belief...as in - I know the event happened, but how or why is unknown and will always be for those events.
But I will never dismiss the possibility of something even if it sounds silly at first...if you read into it and it’s still too out there then I generally disregard it until something else connects to it later somehow and I may revisit it briefly, but for the most part I try to keep looking forward and moving to a greater understanding of the unknown intricacies that make this life tick with the most knowledge and experimental evidence as possible.

Although Grandma may not be adjusting the thermostat...imho there are reactions from the universe based on how we act and behave toward it and what kind of faith you have and for what.
This life and “us” in general is basically unexplored territory...we know so little about us as a species and our place in the universe and in this reality.
Not telling you anything you didn’t know...
Cheers!

YUP THIS. :D See I knew this is why we are good friends.

Yes, our theories and speculations may seem “out there” to people at first, but at the end of the day, it’s just all theories haha.
And it’s all in good fun and total “brain food.”

I guess not all INFJs are into these sort of things like we are Skare haha!
