nerve endings and narratives?

The same Pavlov methods used to train dogs work with us because they're directed to what we have of animalistic, "canine", not because we're dogs — despite all those who want to be no more, or even less, than that. We can pretend to be just a bunch of nerve endings and narratives, and we can be so great pretenders than we began ourselves to believe that, but there will always be something dignified inside, at least as a potence, waiting to be unleashed. The answer, therefore, is yes.
