So we have a potential Russian spy Maria Butina with strong ties to NRA leaders...possibly pulling a Red Sparrow on some of them in order to sway NRA politics.
So the record $30 million funneled out of the NRA to not only Trump, but all the GOP candidates may have to face being under the shadow of doubt that some of the money was laundered out of Russia and into those donations collected.
Effectively making a shit-ton of GOP congresspeople look really bad if they can tie them to not only foreign money, but Russian money via the sloppy donations to and from the NRA.
I can see the commercials now...”Congressman Smith took money from Russian sources! Is this who you want representing you?”
And seeing as how the midterms are coming up quite fast...there may still be a large enough shadow of doubt casted over those who received donations in spite of the predictable denials that they knew nothing about it.
Yes...but it was your lack of action Congress while Russia was and still is actively attacking our institutions and our voting process...you chose to ignore this fact and are still downplaying it because it makes Trump’s win seem a lot less legit.
And what did Trump and Putin talk about in complete privacy (besides the translators) for 2 hours?
Russian TV just announced that “deals were struck”...oh really?
Strange how NO ONE can say what those deals were.
(They probably were making out and heavy petting for 2 hours...fondling balls...*barf*)

There was a fair amount of outrage from people at times during the Clinton and Bush eras, not as much with Obama, though I suspect people were more covert about their outrage. Also the media is always playing its part to curb public perceptions.
Difference being the pivotal moment of an election where a bunch of people fully expected Hillary to win. People were pretty upset about Al Gore losing, but it was a tight race and nobody was really angry at Bush Jr. for anything at the time of his election other than him being a bit of a dumb dumb, whereas Drumpf has had decades of pissing people off for various reasons. I'm sure if Drumpf gets re-elected there won't be a reaction like what we saw, but there could be some smaller cells of people with more radical responses. I kind of doubt that though, by the time the election rolls around a lot of his shit will have been pretty normalized. It's already at that point pretty much. People don't like him but people are also too lazy and apathetic to change anything unless it's at their doorstep. He'll either blow us all up so we can't vote or he'll be a lame duck and people will just roll with it because familiarity is always easier.
