Is this the same thing as sleep paralysis?

I've experienced that a few times in my life, and one kind of recently. But, as many seem to note - it seems quite easy to be aware of when you're dreaming. Even to the point of 'moving around', though there are a few rare times where i've had "super powers". Fun times

Lucid dreaming isn't the same as sleep paralysis. With sleep paralysis, you can essentially have a dream while remaining awake, whereas with lucid dreaming you are definitely asleep.

Of course, it becomes very difficult to distinguish between "awake" and "asleep" in these instances.
