I became very captivated with this artist back in the early '80's. He's from Germany and he's playing a harp that's been modified with electronics. Like an electric guitar I imagine. I couldn't believe a harp could sound like that.

Anyway - hope someone likes it.

I don't know if anyone is familiar with Yanni, but he composes some nice folkloric music. This is a beautiful piece of his.

Yay! don't be shy then.

Here's another one of vanessa mae's. This one has a pretty good rhythm to it. Instruments: electric guitar, keyboard/piano, violin, and soft vocals in the back. Has a little bit of a tribal taste to it.

Does anyone have this tendency to listen to instrumental stuff, close their eyes, and see what they visualise? (Ni by per chance)

I do when I listen to this number. What do you guys come up with?

My friend sent it to me in an e-mail, and I've loved it ever since.

I actually like the real version of the song now too - but I tend to look on them as two separate entities now. One evokes an entirely different feeling than the other.

I've been fortunate to Jsee esse Cook and his band perform in a rather small venue in East TX. It was such a fluke for him to be performing there after he won all those awards in music up in Canada where he's from.
He told us that back when he was a nobody they invited him to play in little old Crockett TX. He told us they fed him the most amazing pie!!! So he came back.
People from Dallas, Houston, and Austin came to see along with all of us.
A bunch of us belly dancers love to dance to his music.
In fact he invited all of us to come up on stage and dance to some of his music. It was an awesome concert and good times were had by all.
I was able to meet him and he's very, very nice with long elegant fingers. sigh... LOL

Lots of great instrumentals out there if you know where to look. Favorites are by Rush, some good ones by Steve Howe (Yes) and of course, Mason Williams.

I know, drums... I count them considering this in one of the only drummers who "composes" on a drum kit...

Steve Howe, for all you "whipper-snappers" out there is a phenomenal classical guitarist in his own right, but also known for being the guitarist for Yes.

Mason Williams... Lisa Simpson can apparently play this song (earlier episode where they strike for health benefits)
