Uh, yea this was fun but dang, I am pitiful when it comes to music.
I think my highest score was 19%. I knew I wasn't very good at it and now I have taken a test that proves it! I will leave the singing to others...

I did terribly in the Group the music test, I got all the Jazz 1's correct, other than that I had this...

Hip Hop, Hip Hop, Rock, Rock.

Pop, Pop, Hip Hop, Hip Hop.

Rock, Pop, Rock, Pop.

I knew I had them all wrong, but I did it quickly and went onto the next test for some reason. I never normally do that. o_O

On match the beat I got clip 15 and 16 wrong. So I did pretty well on that.

On tap to the beat I got them all in the High section.

Melody memory really threw me off for the first few, I didn't quite seem to grasp what I was doing and the pitch changes really threw me of course. I got 5 wrong on that. 1, 2, 4, 9, 10.

Thanks for the really fun test, I really enjoyed it. :)

Namaste.

In the groups section, I swapped one pop with one hip hop.
In match the beat, I got 14 of 18.
In tap to the beat, I got 4 high, 4 medium, 1 low.
In melody memory, I got 11 of 12.

cheers,
Ian

Enthusiasm for music- 100%
Musical Perception- 99%
Emotional Connection- 95%
Social Creativity- 97%
Musical Curiosity- 98%

THE GROUPING TEST:
*I totally see how I got them wrong. With the mixes of genres I listen to, it really makes sense. I think if you listen to a lot of mainstream music, you'll be more likely to get these right.

1) Pop, Hip Hop, Hip hop, Pop (I listen to a lot of R&B)
2) Hip Hop, Jazz, Jazz, Jazz (I listen to a lot of urban jazz)
3) Rock, Rock, Rock, Rock (I hardly listen to any rock, and tend to avoid it)
4) Jazz, Pop, Pop, Hip Hop (Trip Hop/ Electronic...) I put the synthesized sounds together.

MATCH THE BEAT- 17/18

TAP TO THE BEAT- 5 High, 4 Medium

MELODY MEMORY- 11/12

Great test! I really enjoyed it.

Reflects a lifelong negative reinforcement cycle. Lack of skill leading to lack of participation/practice reinforcing lack of skill. I was never going to be a musical virtuoso, but I do feel sad about these results. I believe music is a benefit to my well-being in a far greater way than these test results would indicate.
