Dark Skies Plot summary (from wikipedia)
20th Century history as we know it is a lie. Aliens have been among us since the late 1940s, but a government cover-up has protected the public from such knowledge. As the series progresses, we follow John Loengard and Kim Sayers through the 1960s as they attempt to foil the plots of the alien Hive. The Hive is an alien race that planned to invade Earth through a manipulation of historical events and famous figures, including most notably the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. In addition, the pair must stay one step ahead of a covert government agency that has mixed motives, Majestic 12.
The show featured a number of real-life 1960's personalities in the plot, such as The Beatles, Robert Kennedy, Jim Morrison, and J Edgar Hoover.

I was sad to see Arrested Development go..

Seconded! You've inspired me to go put on the dvds, now.

So classic. Bob Loblaw law blog. "COME ON!"

But There's going to be a AR movie I think. *has completely inappropriate crush on Micheal Cera*

I miss FireFly and American Gothic. I could probably think of a million tv shows I miss. I'll go old school and say I miss the Adventures of Brisco County Jr because Bruce Campbell is made of equal parts of Win and Awesome.

Shiiiiit I forgot about Bob Loblaw. Good times. Gene Parmesan was one of my faves.

Fantastic. Never enough AR. I wonder when something like that would release? And that crush is 100% appropriate in my books.

Hahaha, Gene, best private detective.

Loved Arrested Development of what I have seen.

I remember a movie named Orphans. It was set in New York. About two brothers. One took care of the other who was mentally lacking. They lived in a squat alone and the able one would steal for money. The other fantasied about a woman based on a shoe he kept. An older man enters the squat and begins to bring the less capable one out of him self which the other doesn't like or trust. It was a movie with four actors total. Very Indie-esque.

One other movie was The First Nudie Musical. It was hilarious. I couldn't watch it until I was sixteen. About a man who inherits a production studio and it is failing. He needs money quick. So he decides that porn makes money and musicals were popular at the time. Thus the musical was made. It made me laugh and the songs are so funny. Every time I see the word or hear "snack" I think "snatch". Thank you John Boy. (The lead actor.)

I used to enjoy Doogie Howser, M.D., but it's so long ago I can't remember exactly what it was I liked about it. Probably being a kid, seeing a kid in a position of power.

firefly, now and again, animals of farthing wood, twins of destiny

I miss Book of Daniel and Boston Public. Also Freaks and Geeks, to a lesser degree.

Joe Versus the Volcano was a gem of a movie, but even Tom Hanks has distanced himself from it now.

Sonic SatAM rocked my world! Then they ended it right after the season 2 climax. :(

Joe vs. the Volcano, and Riding in Cars with Boys are both good choices...

As for me I love SLC PUNK...

this is one of my favorite scenes...

Be forewarned that it is of an explicit nature, ie. cussing and mild violence, but the message is pretty great.. :D

I miss Freaks and Geeks. That was cancelled too soon.

I don't know if these are obscure, but lesser knowns I love are Grandma's Boy, Dancer in the Dark, Jawbreakers, The Smokers, & Johnny Suede. I'm sure I could think of some others if given more time.
