Baby Can I Hold You - Tracy Chapman

Sorry
Is all that you can't say
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily
Like sorry like sorry
Forgive me
Is all that you can't say
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily
Like forgive me forgive me
But you can say baby
Baby can I hold you tonight
Maybe if I told you the right words
At the right time you'd be mine
I love you
Is all that you can't say
Years gone by and still
Words don't come easily
Like I love you I love you
But you can say baby
Baby can…

I'm loving this thread!! My fave one has to be wicked games by Chris Isaak as well so i need to find another one. I also love the Phillip Phillips version of it.

Here's a classic...

And something a bit more current.
Kind of upbeat but I loooove this version!

Aren't the best songs that needn't be sung? I mean, love must be felt.

These are the ones that always get me. Without words.

Alter bridge - watch over you.
Simply beautiful. A sincere love song: No promise, no bulshit, never knew love could be so deep.

This was written after George Harrison, who is a huge fan, told Zep drummer John Bonham that the trouble with Led Zeppelin is that they don't do any ballads. Bonham brought in the idea, and the rest of the band worked with him to put it together. It is was one of the few Zeppelin songs where all four members shared the composer credit.

I don't think I've posted a legit love song in this thread yet. But it always comes back to Bobby Darin's More.

Nothing beats the Astral Weeks version, this is pretty good though.
