    The second implication is that if the forum members are praying to another god, do I want to encourage that or appear to be seeking aid from other gods.

    But isn't there only "one true God" according to Christianity? How can it be possible to pray to other gods, if they don't exist? Wouldn't those prayers either reach (the only) God or automatically become null?

    there's some lyrics in a worship song but i can't think of the name of the song, it's driving me crazy. The song is about the cross and it has a phrase in a verse that refers to the paradox of the cross (that it was a terrible but sweet thing.) But i can't remember how the phrase went.
