  • Thanks for the Rep. I've missed you on here somehow, but welcome! I like the name you've chosen too!
Some day we will have more friends than the kitties!!
    :p

They are sort of pack animals, though...

    and we're introverts..
Just got back from Coos Bay. It was a bit gloomy. How's your summer been? Beautiful I hope. I've only been to Lake Tahoe once but when I was there it was gorgeous.
It was definitely worth a read. A lot of what it said conflicted with the Social Anxiety book that I read, but the social anxiety book assumes you are wanting social relationships and can't get them, while the party of one book assumes you are happy with what you have.

Separate from the justification/validation aspect, just the research on movie characters and portrayals of the loner were worth it.

It is very us vs them in terms of loners vs non-loners which I thought was a bit hypocritical, but I was able to look past that and enjoyed it overall.
No, would love to see Alaska but have always been partial to warmer cruises. Guess it's my perpetual desire to ditch the gloominess we are inundated with here. Was it beautiful. I've heard some spectacular things about the Inside Passage. What was your favorite part?
What part of California? My husband is from southern California, near Santa Monica.
