in august 2009, [aug 23rd to be exact], i went to webster hall here in NYC. it was NIN's wave goodbye tour, where they decided to play the most cramped, tiniest clubs they could possibly find. i scored one ticket to the webster hall show. to my, and everyone elses surprise, they OPENED the show by playing "the downward spiral" in its entirety.

needless to say, i kick ass, for starters. and two, the show was beyond insane. it was the only concert i've ever been to where i walked out onto the street after it was over and the dollar bills in my wallet were actually soaking wet, drenched in sweat.

just for the record, aenima is a top 3 cd of all time for me, personally. in terms of NINETYS, i only listed it as an honorable mention. kinda contradictory, but i think you get what i mean.

i've seen TOOL 10 times in concert. they are my all time fav band. each of the 10 times has been a momentous moment in my life, some much more memorable than others, hehehe. i'll leave it at that, for now...

    [queens, btw] you??
Easy for you to say! I'm the one who's getting shanked! I hope you bring a flamethrower because I hear muppets burn quite nicely.
Lol, it was too great to pass up! I'm weary though...what if they hunt us down for using their likeness?
very tough shit right here!! i'm going to make this list based upon their IMPACT on the 90s.

i'm gonna list them in no particular order right now, and then i'm gonna come back and order them for you. hehe.

    korn - "korn"
metallica - "metallica [the black album]"
rage against the machine - "rage against the machine"
    slipknot - "slipknot"
bush - "sixteen stone" [though "razorblade suitcase" wasnt far behind]
    alice in chains - "dirt"
nirvana - "nevermind" [only reason i put this instead of "in utero" is because of its massive influence on society at the time]
smashing pumpkins - "mellon collie and the infinite sadness"
green day - "insomniac" [yes, over "dookie"]
    live - "throwing copper"

    honorable mentions:

    pearl jam - "ten"
alanis morissette - "jagged little pill"
    radiohead - "ok computer"
nine inch nails - "the downward spiral"/"the fragile"
    soundgarden - "superunknown"
    stone temple pilots - "core"
    sublime - "sublime"
    tool - "aenima"

i'm sure there are LOADS that i havent even mentioned. i did this off the top of my head. feel free to add more/remind me of all the good shit i forgot!!
because you are my 90s alternative rock/grunge sister!! : ]

to me, that cd really hits the peak of what 90s rock was all about. it has intense songs. powerful songs. fast songs. slow songs. sad songs. love songs. happy songs. its a whole spectrum of emotions, and i love it!
Me too!!!!! Invisible picked that one for me. I love it! Thank you for enjoying it with me.
believe it or not, i was thinking about you recently.
i've listened to mellon collie and the infinite sadness the past 4 days in a row. it's a funny cd. [double cd for that matter]. the "hits" are tremendous, but the songs that the regular people dont know about are phenominal. [for example: stumbeline, in the arms of sleep, tales of scorched earth, x.y.u., muzzle, where boys fear to tread, etc etc etc.

i would vote that it is on plenty of peoples top cds of the 90s, yet most dont even know half the true songs of it.

billy has a "love it or hate it" voice, so i'm assuming you are one of the lovers. hehe.
    so seductive:

I love Ozzie, but I was thinking someone who is undead but still quite charming...what do you think about Dick Clark?
I know what you mean lol. I think I almost lost it at that point.

Rachel's performance of that...sent me straight to iTunes after the show.
But my heart goes to "Rolling in the Deep"
    Like.
    Damn.
Expensive yes since mistakes happen and breaking in new teachers can be difficult (one bite and you have to find a replacement). Aside from simple teacher attrition I believe most zombies simply haven't ever heard about it...mayhaps more advertising catering to the walking dead is in order.
