  • Hmmm, and what do you think is it possible to be just one type or let's say two different at the same time? Let's say an INFJ and INTJ.

What's your theory on that mistyping thing? Is it because people see something that they want to be, the bad tests, poorly developed theory...?

Do you feel the need to type every person you meet?
    Ok, let's see...

First is this MBTI business something that's your career, or is it just a hobby? This is not a credibility issue, it's just that you seem to know much about it, so I guess I'm curious if it not your career to practice something like this, how long did it take for you to learn this much about it? (which would be my second question)

Third would be, how do you like the forums so far?

And the controversial fourth (for now) would be, how many mistyped INFJs have you seen so far on this board?
Then I'm officially informing you that you are screwed because you've got no idea what you are getting into. :D
Sorry for asking too much questions in that making faces thread. Curious nature it is. :D

And thanks for the very thorough first question reply.
*facepalm* ...i just read the new posts on INTPf, and it seems you're already on it. ;p
    Interesting..
I suppose I say meek because that's how I've experienced Fe to manifest in those around me who have it as something less that dominant. This is also why I don't fully trust my Si - because I don't interact with enough people to form an adequate paradigm of the dynamics of functions on others.

Yes, I can see that. Fe can manifest quite thunderously also.. > >
Though I suppose my personal belief is that a healthy Fe should only manifest this way with very good cause, but otherwise seek to establish peace.

There are two things I see Fe doing: one is consciously and actively working towards that desired state of outer harmony, and the second is displaying disapproval and upset at any disharmony it perceives. I've found that immature use of Fe manifest as outbursts of disapproval [anger/bitterness] at someone's social conduct - but yet it's not really actively working towards harmony or seeking to "fix" what it perceives as wrong. It behaves more like a whining child. And instead, mature and healthy use of Fe focuses a lot more on creating that peace rather than being pissed at the lack of peace [which in turn is just adds to the lack of peace, go figure] =P

((nyah.. < < i'd have to say I sorta see that immature Fe in you at times. It displays it's disapproval openly, yes, but it's not actively working towards reconciliation at the level it should. But! I'm done scolding now I promise! D= ))

On another note, I really like what you're doing by making type description sub-sets based on the possible relationships the top four functions can have in someone. ^^ It's a helluva task though, I understand. I'll see if I can type up my own amateur version of the INTP sub-sets from what I've seen, just for fun.

Oh! Wouldn't it be epic to have at least the four IN types described in several of their different manifestations? ^^ If done properly I think that, as a compilation, would be a MAJOR asset to all these type forum communities.
    Ha! you're still online, eh?

Mm, there's actually something I've been meaning to ask. Cognitive functions behave differently as dom/aux/tertiary/inferior, yus? I was wondering how you've experienced dominant Fe to manifest in people.

I think my understanding of Fe only applies to aux and below, but not as a dominant function. It seems it loses much of it's meekness and harmony-seeking traits and instead becomes a different type of "enforcer", imo. It's as if it has a constructed view of how humans should treat one another and acts as moderator [i.e. In ESFJs] while in, say, INFJs, it acts more as a peacemaker. I feel that as a dominant function it can actually cause disharmony instead of harmony by being so intent on compelling people to operate in the way it views people should.

    your thoughts?
    I've been... ^^; well, i can't really say.. [insert paranoid ninja smiley here], but it's good to see you too! ;D Btw, I absolutely loved your exchange with Lrya in that thread. Lyra is another one of those precious and rare individuals i greatly admire. ^^;

And lol, yus! Someone has to keep u in check, right?! ;P
Yay I am the 1st, thanks for accepting. Your post lay a lot of my questions about myself, to rest. I am reassured now of being such a complicated being and that I'm not the only one.
