If you could make a 30 second speech to the entire world, what would you say?

You fucking idiots (repeatedly)

First of all, people, you are now witnessing a miracle because I do not do speeches. How did you get me to do this, and why do I continue to do it?

Secondly, under the assumption that what I say will not land me in the looney bin: quixus quo plaxtrus quo pruxus.

Edit: honestly I wouldn't do a speech for an endless bag of money and oranges.

And I really really like oranges.

What a waste of anyone's 30 seconds of time. :)

"Listen to your intuition. If you can't hear it or don't know how to listen, teach yourself. Stay away from gurus or personality cults.

Once you hear it regularly, follow it.

Always evaluate your progress between today and yesterday, never between today and where you want to be. If you've grown since yesterday, no matter how miniscule the amount may seem, you are succeeding. Any appearances to the contrary are illusions.

Be good to people. Do your best to love them; you are literally them. For that matter, love the earth, love animals. It's all the same organism.

That said, you're always going to have dickheads around. It's good to know how to avoid them or deal with them. Learn those skills, too.

In short: listen to the voice of your intuition (truth) and own it.

P.S. - buy a copy of Meditations by Marcus Aurelius."

I only have a short amount of time to speak to you all, and nobody has had this opportunity before, so I have chosen my words carefully.

You have the ability to be a good person, the best person you can be. It is you who will change your life and the world for the better, and it's never too late to start.

Keep optimism and hope. Work hard, take only what you need, keep developing yourself, and be caring towards self and other. Happiness will come from this. I love you, and God loves you always.

(What would you say, Odyne? :) )

Life is hard. Life is unfair. Work Hard. Never give up If you can come to terms with these facts you might just make it and and manage to enjoy yourself at some point along the way.

Sorry to say this, but after last night when me and my friends performed our poetry to a bunch of middle class monkeys, I simply wouldn't waste my breath on the world, as it would be "casting pearls to swine". This world due to commercialism and Capitalism with all its trappings of class and social ignorance is becoming less authentic as the years go by. I feel very sorry for any young idealists today as anyone who thinks differently from the sheep is side-lined and completely dismissed. I am starting to wish for a revolution to join before I take my last breath.
However an interesting question though.

You are not merely your body and mind. Come to know what remains, that which knows no illusion; for this is who you truly are.
Do not fear death, either natural or untimely. You will not experience it in the same way it will appear to others around you.
Live life so thoroughly, so full of love and joy that when you leave your purpose will be fulfilled and death will be a release, a cause for celebration.
Know that you are loved, even when it appears that you are most alone. Act from that place and you can do no wrong; for yourself and others.

Forgive those who trespass against us.

I'd put 2 fingers to my temple and make a "psshwoo" sound. Something like the cover of borderlands 2.

Truthfully I'd probably say nothing. Let the 30 seconds of uninterrupted silence speak for itself.

Live, laugh and learn for no one can do these things for you. Life is full of obstacles, mistakes, and pressures. And no matter how hard you try to escape them, they will be there. But don't run. Rather, walk carefully and keep your treading, for soon you will find your sense of rhythm, figure out the steps to your own melody, and realize that you have your own space or place in the world because you are here and there can only be one . . . of you. So, make your life the best of you and for you that it can be . . . under any circumstance.

A speech to the world ... There's no way in hell that a speech to the world would be received as anything other than preachy bullshit. There's absolutely no way. What's the point of saying stuff like "love each other" and "you can be great"? People won't get an epiphany from your words, any more than they will get an epiphany from what philosophers, politicians, musicians or poets say on a daily basis. Your words will be completely wasted.

I guess if I had to, I would ask a bunch of questions about the morality of the people listening, and encourage people to listen more to those that have been hurt by the world. Be nice to those that are suffering, stop and smell the roses type of stuff. Some of the questions that I would ask would be along the lines of "how can you justify living a capitalistic lifestyle when you celebrate a religion privately?" and "why are we not listening to everyone equally?".

Interesting question, Odyne. I must think.

The only way I could talk to the world for 30 seconds would be through a commercial. I would say, everyone has the power to make a difference. Sometimes the smallest kindnesses can make the biggest differences. Practicing one random act of kindness a day for the rest of your life CAN change the world. While I was talking I would show a 30 second video of all different kinds of people spreading all different kinds of random acts of kindness with a well chosen musical score playing in the background that elicits feelings of love, empathy, and gratitude. Then I would say, pay it forward.

niffer I would have to think about it.

Sadie- You may be onto something.
