Ka Ina tells the story of two women, dangerously related by the superstition, magic and love of a man. Catalina Miranda and Maniña Yerichana, both are young and beautiful. The first (Catalina Miranda Funkhütten), an assertive, independent and cosmopolitan engineer; educated in Europe and working for a transnational company in Germany; the second (Maniña Yerichana) is the most powerful and fearsome woman in the jungle: a priestess daughter of an indigenous Yanomami princess and an adventurous Dutch gold seeker, who was abandoned at birth and raised by a herd of jaguars until the age of A year was found by a Yanomami shaman who raised her.

Catalina and Maniña are two antagonists because of Ricardo León, a mysterious man from the Capital, the man with the eyes of fire. Although Maniña and Catalina appear to be the same age, they are actually mother and daughter, a fact that only Tacupay knows and then reveals to Dagoberto. Catalina, for being the daughter of Maniña, has the protection of the jungle and the moon against the attacks of Maniña who wants to kill her.
