Hi everyone

Well, it's all in the title.

As INFJs, we generally love music and especially those which that express feelings and visions

And while I was reading some of the topics in the froum, I've found that some of the members mentioned 2 songs I didn't know. I discovered them and I really fell in love with them (It is "Mad World" of Gary Jules and "Breath me" of Sia)

Si I think it would be a good idea that we share the songs that really fit well with our innermost fellings and our inner world.

Here are some of those who come to my mind (there are many more actually):

Another day in paradise (Phil Collins)

Sadness and sorrow (theme from the manga Naruto)

Main theme of Rain Man (the sad one)

Hallelujah (Rufus Wainwright)

Now we are free (Gladiator Main Theme)

Thank you.
I think "Honor him" in the same soundtrack is beautiful too.

Mad World is such a powerful song.
it makes me almost cry
Especially the gary jules version because you really hear and feel the lyrics of the song...It touches me on such a deep level! And then the Movie of course this song debuted in was one of those that Spoke to us reality questioning people! SEE IT Donnie Darko!! (the newer versions this song has unfortunately been removed but the original this song opened the movie!!)

Back to music!

There are several songs that really touch me on a deeper level of feeling
Pans Labyrinth - Pans Labyrinth Lullaby
Kate bush - This womans work
Missy Higgins - Going north- (actually really ALL of her songs speak to me She could be INFJ)
Modest Mouse - The world at large! (alot of their songs speak to me as well!!!)
The Murder city Devils - they are more of a darker and harder but still speaks to me...
Tori Amos...All of her stuff has always touched the inner recesses of my heart and soul

I love Lisa Gerrard (she's the one singing on the soundtrack)... Her music is so spiritual... And alive! Grows on you a lot :

Dead Can Dance - Rakim(takes a while to start but ...!)
The Carnival is Over
Enigma of the Absolute

I'm still hopelessly looking for some other bands that would reach their mystic power, but nothing gets close...

"Pretty Maids All In A Row"

Hi there,
How are 'ya?
it's been a long time
Seems like we've come a long way
My, but we learn so slow
and heroes, they come
and they go
and leave us behind as if
we're s'pposed to know why
Why do we give up our hearts to the past?
and why must we grow up so fast?

And all you wishing well fools
with your fortunes
someone should send you a rose with
love from a friend,
it's nice to here from you
again
And the storybook comes to a close
Gone are the ribbons and bows
Things to remember places to go
Pretty Maids all in a Row
Oh, oh oh, oh......

Eagles
Look it up on You Tube, it's great.

"Adventures in Solitude" - The New Pornographers

Balancing on
One wounded wing
Circling the edge
Of the neverending
The best of the vanished marvels have gathered inside your door

More than begin
But less than forget
But spirits born
From the not happened yet
Gathering there
To pay off a debt brought back from the wars

We thought we lost you
We thought we lost you
We thought we lost you
Welcome back

Sleeping for years
Pick through what is left
Through the pieces that fell and rose from the depth
From the rainwater well
Deep as a secret nobody knows

Less than forget
But more than begun
These adventures in solitude never done
To the names of our rooms (?)
We send the same blood back from the wars

We thought we lost you
We thought we lost you
We thought we lost you
It will all come back

I know you want to
Run far away from one more
And that it’s comin’ at a bad time
Some cold place
Heartless ways
For all we know

I know you need to
Breathe through
Come back
Come too
But it’s comin’ at a bad time
Tangled day
For all we know

I know you want to
Run far away from one more
And that’s comin’ at a bad time
Some cold race
Heartless ways
For all we know

I know you want to
Breathe through
Come back
Come too
But it’s comin’ at a bad time
Old scarred face
Survivor’s guilt
For all we know

Most beautiful song ever. Speaks directly to my heart.

My personal family theme song...

Incubus - Drive
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7zN9vd9WUiA

We like Red Hot Chilli Peppers

My son loves Cold Play

and I'm prone to to a pretty damn good version of Bobbie Magee by Janis Joplin under the right conditions.

Smoke... Drive was my personal anthem for awhile, too. I just love that song, and it's on every one of my mix CDs.

wow never considered that...but it's so true! At the moment I'm drawn to Michael Franti who sings of peace, equality and enjoying life...and Xavier Rudd who sings many songs about Indigenous land rights and other societal issues. Blue King Brown fits into that category too. Generally, I love music with meaning.
