Intelligence

I think that one aspect of intelligence is that intelligent people are able to tell us what we already knew.

From what I see of intelligent people on forums, they seem to be able to generate that "aha!" moment by rendering our subconscious perceptions conscious, through language and metaphor.

It's as if their brains are in better step with their minds: if you pay attention to your mind, it's a constant flux of pre-cognitive hunches and often a sense of knowing what to say but not how to say it. They have a fusion of conceptual fluidity, conceptual repertoire and electro-chemical processing power that is better able to pluck those 'hunches' out of the mind. They tend to attract a respectful following because of the recognition they engender in ourselves; the recognition is the verification of their intelligence.
