What is your muse? Is a person or a culture or a nation or an idea or utopia? Can it be any or all of those things?

Unfortunately, I don't know if I have a muse, or at least one outside of myself. Is it possible that you can be your own muse? And is a muse necessarily positive, or can it engender creativity that is either wonderful or horrible, or both at the same time? Could a muse be something you hate: a piece of yourself you are ashamed of or wish you did not have?

Seems like every time there's a question about what entity outside myself fills a certain role, I'm stumped. Maybe I haven't found my muse yet, but if so I think I'm getting to the point where I'm not sure I ever will...

A list of measurable goals.

I think I'm with Dave Fallon on this.
If I had to name an entity that causes me I improve myself:

My muse is my abstract image of my future SO..
:m119:

I'm my own Muse.

...Is that too narcissistic?

Haha, talking about muses. I found this "poem" I wrote a few months ago. Guess who it's about? Yup, my muse. Warning: it's kinda desperate.

The girl that loves you
Some meet her early, too late or never

The girl that loves you
Some meet her once, others many times

The girl that loves you
She comes in different forms

The girl that loves you
She can reveal in more than one

The girl that loves you
Anywhere you are she could be near

The girl that loves you
At every turn she might appear

The girl that loves you
Thrice I thought revealed

The girl that loves you
Thrice the glimpse was ill

The girl that loves you
I cannot find her

The girl that loves you
I'm in love with unknown

The girl that loves you
Please show yourself

The girl that loves me
Where are you?
Thrice should be updated to Fource or Frice? Nah that word doesn't exist. I'll leave the poem as is.
